You will work remotely from home as a Remote/Teleworker.

This is a Services role at job level TCP04, working as a senior technology consultant with customers and internal project teams.

You will advise customers on technical solutions, build lasting relationships with them and help shape technical direction for both the company and its clients.

Responsibilities

• Check and carry out detailed technical designs that a Project or Technical Manager has defined for a problem.
• Often produce detailed technical designs for enterprise solutions and act as principal consultant on analysing and developing them.
• Lead technical assessment and delivery for customers, set up team structures that perform well, and guide the team through each lifecycle stage.
• Coordinate new installations, designs and migrations across networks, applications or platforms.
• Advise on proposals, solution design, system management, tuning and changes to existing solutions.
• Gather and assess data from suitable sources to understand customer needs, and answer their technical questions.
• Build customer solutions with a range of industry products and technologies, and solve technical problems across several technologies, often inventing new methods.
• Contribute to company strategy and to the solutions portfolio, drawing on lessons from customer projects.
• Own knowledge sharing in a team, practice or project community, make sure others reuse and contribute to it, and coach colleagues in your area.
• Publish internal material such as knowledge briefs and service kit modules, and present at conferences with several customers attending.
• Support sales by managing bids or providing major input, supplying qualitative and quantitative sales information, writing full proposals for smaller engagements, and growing existing customer accounts through new opportunities and change management.
• Meet chargeability targets, or expense relief targets for internal teams, and help reach revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
• Create new business opportunities and support technical content for deal proposals.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Without a degree, you need 3 more years of relevant experience, making 11+ years in total.
• Enough technical depth and breadth to design and scope several deliverables across a number of technologies.
• A record of introducing new deliverables and offerings, and of leading teams through several multi-technology deliverables.
• Ability to design solutions that improve availability, performance, maintainability and agility in a customer's enterprise.
• Experience designing or using new tools, and reusing past work to build solutions for market.
• Detailed understanding of how the architecture of the technologies in a customer's IT environment depends on one another.
• Deep product and architecture knowledge, recognised as an expert in one or more technologies within your community and across your region.
• A vendor or industry certification in at least one discipline area.
• Confident communication with senior managers, both inside and outside the company.
• Skill in diagnosing complex problems to their root cause, summarising outlook and impact for practice leads, and adapting your consulting style to each situation.
• Ability to spot up-sell opportunities.
• Broad understanding of market dynamics, industry areas, commercial issues and technical concerns, while keeping deep expertise in your core area.
• Ability to present your area of expertise in customer sales presentations, and to lead others in gathering requirements, designs, plans and estimates.
• Ability to write full proposals for smaller engagements in your area.
• Broad knowledge of other technical areas to manage complex integrations, with a record of success on projects involving several disciplines.
• Ability to complete solution implementation or application design deliverables on your own.
• Ability to manage a team of consultants through one or more solution requirements, architecture or implementation deliverables.

Conditions

This is a remote, teleworker position where you primarily work from home.

Pay ranges are base salary only and may vary with location, experience, education, training and skill level. Variable incentives may also be offered.

United States: USD 109,000 to 251,000 per year, for roles in Illinois, Mississippi and Texas.

Canada: CAD 100,500 to 186,500 per year.
