Description

The company and Wizards of the Coast teams build games, toys, entertainment and experiences, and reimagine iconic brands for fans around the world.

You will help fans discover or rediscover the brands they love, and bring your curiosity, ideas and point of view to the teams behind them.

This is one general application for anticipated 2027 Marketing internships in Boston, Massachusetts and/or Renton, Washington. It is not tied to one vacancy. Projects are confirmed on a rolling basis, and a single application covers several opportunities across participating teams and brands, so you do not need to apply separately for each.

If your profile fits a confirmed project, a recruiter may reach out directly with details and next steps. Applying does not guarantee an interview or a placement.

Depending on confirmed projects and business needs, placements may sit in brand and franchise marketing, consumer insights and market research, digital, social and content marketing, integrated campaigns and media, commercial and retail marketing, or marketing operations and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Use consumer, fan, cultural and performance insights to spot opportunities.
  • Support campaign, content, launch and go-to-market planning and carry it out.
  • Produce briefs, presentations, recaps, toolkits or content for live brand initiatives.
  • Turn campaign or market data into a clear narrative with a recommendation.
  • Work alongside Brand, Creative, Product, Sales, Finance, Insights and agency partners.
  • Help refine a marketing process, channel or audience experience.
  • Your specific tasks depend on where you are placed.

Requirements

  • You are currently enrolled in a university degree program in Marketing, Communications, Consumer Behavior, Business, Analytics, Media, Advertising or a closely related field.
  • You put the consumer first and are curious about brands, culture and communities.
  • You communicate clearly and tell stories backed by evidence and insight.
  • You can balance creative thinking with data, detail and getting work delivered.
  • You collaborate well, adapt, and keep learning when priorities and timelines shift.
  • No portfolio is required. You may link campaigns, research, content, student leadership or class projects if they strengthen your application.
  • You are enrolled in an accredited university degree program and will stay enrolled for at least one academic term after the internship. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply. MBA candidates should use the separate MBA internship postings.
  • Students entering their final year after the internship are generally prioritized. Students with about two academic years remaining are also encouraged to apply. Eligibility depends on program stage, not age.
  • You can commit to the full program schedule and the work model for your assigned location.
  • You meet the work authorization requirements listed below.
  • Related programs, coursework and transferable projects are welcome. Prior internship experience is not required.
  • If you do not match every preferred skill but the role interests you, still apply. The team values potential, curiosity, willingness to learn and different routes to the same capability.

Conditions

The program runs June to August for 10 to 12 weeks, full-time at 40 hours per week.

Most internships are hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office. Select roles require 5 days per week onsite. The project schedule is shared before interviews.

Locations are Boston, Massachusetts and Renton, Washington. You may choose one or both. Placements may support the company or Wizards of the Coast teams, depending on confirmed projects and business needs.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from October to March, as needed.

The internship is paid. Hourly rates depend on degree level and year in school. A good-faith range is set for each worksite: Boston $24-39 per hour and Renton $30-38 per hour.

Relocation assistance is available to candidates who meet the applicable distance and other eligibility criteria.

The Early Careers team reviews applications as projects are confirmed. If your profile fits, a recruiter will contact you with the team, project, location, work model, dates and pay. Selected candidates interview with the hiring team. Timing varies by project, so keep your contact details and availability up to date. With your permission, you may be considered for a different function that better matches your skills, without submitting a new application.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The company cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Pay listed: $24 - $39 USD.

Benefits

  • Employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of total compensation, depending on role, location and eligibility.
  • Benefits and programs include health and wellness, time off to recharge, financial well-being, life and family support, volunteer and community initiatives, learning and development, and exclusive perks.
  • All interns join one global cohort with shared, structured onboarding and weekly learning and development.
  • You receive mentorship and feedback on meaningful work tied to real business priorities.
  • You build career skills through brand immersion and conversations with leaders.
  • You meet peers through networking and social experiences, and volunteer alongside the intern community.
