Test Manager, Professional Services

Professional Services is investing more in delivery quality and is creating a new Test Manager role to lead that work. You will set test strategy and quality governance for the largest customer implementations, mainly Windchill and Codebeamer. The aim is to lower delivery risk, shorten time to value and build quality practices that scale. This is a strategic, consultative role centred on direction and oversight, not hands-on test execution.

Responsibilities

• Define risk-based, end-to-end test strategies for customer implementations that match business and compliance needs.
• Set frameworks, standards and tooling, and make sure requirements, risks, test cases, defects and validation evidence stay traceable to each other.
• Guide project teams, including testers, in building test plans for functional, integration, system, UAT, performance and regression testing.
• Track progress and report quality status to stakeholders.
• Advise customers and partners on test management, validation in regulated and safety-critical settings, and moving to continuous and AI-enabled testing.
• Set up defect processes, lead triage and prioritisation, track quality metrics and risks, and recommend mitigations.
• Act as quality adviser on critical customer issues, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions with engineering, support and delivery teams.
• Help build the company's test service offerings and accelerators, and carry lessons learned into future engagements.

Requirements

• 10+ years in test management, quality assurance or a related role.
• Strong grasp of testing methodologies, QA practices, requirements traceability and validation processes.
• Experience using AI in testing, such as producing repeatable test cases.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• A customer-first approach and the ability to lead cross-functional project teams.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• PLM or ALM experience.
• Validation experience in regulated industries.
• Programming experience, for example in Java, C++ or JavaScript.
• Relational database experience, for example with Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• You must be authorised to work in the United States now and without future sponsorship from the company. This role is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship.

Conditions

The anticipated annual salary range is $132,000-$198,000, based on a good-faith estimate at posting. Actual pay may vary with skills, qualifications, experience and location.
