Test Engineer - Satellite Control Network

Description

You will join a team of engineers supporting the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract, a full-time role based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, within the continental US.

Your test work covers directed modification projects. Through it, you help keep telemetry, tracking and commanding (TT&C) services running for a range of Satellite Control Network (SCN) users.

Responsibilities

• Decide on the best way to test complex products or solutions so they meet the applicable specifications.
• Suggest design features that make a product or solution easier to test or that generate useful diagnostic test data.
• Turn customer contract needs into system test solutions that work within technical, schedule and cost limits.
• Write and lead comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
• Coordinate integrated testing across the project.
• Review test requirements to confirm the test program is complete.
• Analyse complete systems and write thorough system-level evaluations.

Requirements

• Required: US citizenship and a DoD-adjudicated Secret security clearance.
• Required: a BA or BS, or 5+ years of related work experience.
• Required: familiarity with test approaches such as Waterfall and Agile.
• Required: experience with SCN operations or system testing.
• Required: experience testing hardware in a communications environment.
• Required: experience analysing project requirements and traceability methods.
• Required: clear written and verbal communication with project team members.
• Desired: prior lead experience on task orders or projects.
• Desired: Security+ certification.

Conditions

Minimum clearance needed to start: Secret.

Regular, full-time position.

Travel is up to 10%, local only.

Salary depends on factors including location, Federal Government labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills, education and certifications.

The proposed salary range is $75,200-$158,100.
