Sr. Test Engineer

The company makes precision timing devices. Timing keeps electronics in sync, and MEMS-based timing offers better accuracy, a smaller size and stronger resilience than quartz in harsh conditions.

MEMS timing is already used in more than 400 applications, including AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT. The company has shipped over 4 billion devices.

This is a senior test development role covering hardware and software test solutions for these devices, from product kick-off through end of life. The work includes board design, algorithm development, software and validation on custom and standard automated test equipment (ATE). You are not expected to match every listed requirement to apply.

Responsibilities

• Build test solutions that balance quality, cost and time to market for the company's precision timing devices.
• Design custom test boards and probe cards at board level.
• Set up, implement, debug and tune automated test programs.
• Make test programs scalable across multiple sites, reusable and accurate, including GR&R.
• Move new product test packages into production as part of NPI.
• Work with overseas colleagues to release test solutions into production.
• Lead projects that improve yield and reduce cost.
• Take on other projects that management or changing business needs require.

Requirements

• A minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, plus 5-10 years of related work experience. Recent graduates will be considered.
• Solid experience developing ATE test solutions for mixed-signal ICs.
• Working knowledge of analog electronics and hands-on board-level design and debugging.
• Experience analyzing statistical test data.
• Hands-on use of electronics lab instruments.
• Strong programming skills.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne ETS-364, ETS-88, uFLEX and LTX-Credence ASL1K. Not required.
• Preferred: prior experience with metrology systems for timing parameters. Not required.
• Preferred: C++ experience. MATLAB and Python are also preferred. None are required.
• Works well in a team and acts with urgency to meet test deadlines.
• Desired: highly self-motivated, eager to be hands-on in the lab, and comfortable in a collaborative, fast-moving team.
• Desired: strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
• Desired: positive attitude and a drive to learn new skills.

Conditions

Pay varies with location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity and other legitimate business factors. The posted range is $124,920 - $171,770 USD.

Compensation includes base salary, a bonus tied to innovation goals, and equity.
