Description

The Master and Reference Data organization supplies authoritative reference data across the enterprise. It builds technology and operational processes for collecting, storing, analyzing and distributing product, pricing, account and corporate action data, and works with data clients across global business lines to simplify information access and turn critical data into business intelligence.

This is a senior individual contributor role that sits between senior business users, operations leads and engineers. You will shape product vision, run the roadmap and backlog, and lead platform enhancements aimed at better data quality, more business value and wider platform adoption.

The Corporate Actions Product and Data team runs a global strategic platform, the Global Corporate Action Event Repository. Its work covers vendor data feeds, data research, SWIFT messages, the user interface, publishing data to downstream clients through the cloud and a custom publisher, rules and governance, and audit and compliance. Coverage, completeness, accuracy and timeliness are the main priorities, and client and user needs set the roadmap. The team is global.

Responsibilities

  • Write business and functional requirements, epics and user stories for complex corporate action initiatives.
  • Manage and refine the product backlog and set sprint priorities.
  • Lead data modeling and map data across vendors and internal feeds.

  • Set the direction and design for the web GUI and API interfaces.
  • Lead work with internal and external data providers and vendors.
  • Define and maintain Golden Copy rules and the vendor source hierarchy logic.
  • Find chances to automate work, streamline processes and use data for AI-ready use cases.
  • Manage senior stakeholder expectations, roadmap delivery, user training and release governance.
  • Capture business and product requirements with senior clients and business partners.
  • Support validation and testing with development, QA and operations.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years as a business analyst or product manager in a relevant industry such as financial services or technology.
  • At least 5 years using requirements management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with process modeling tools such as Visio.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods.
  • Working knowledge of database concepts and SQL. Oracle experience is often useful.
  • Experience with business process reengineering, business systems development and modern architectures such as cloud and APIs.
  • Ability to analyze data and understand data models.
  • Strong analytical skills and extensive experience writing functional and technical specifications, epics and user stories.
  • Experience in master or reference data.
  • Preferred: understanding of AI and GenAI fundamentals and how to structure AI-ready reference data.
  • Preferred: exposure to process automation, workflow streamlining or intelligent data quality checks.
  • Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
