Technical Service Engineer - Valencia

Description

The company is a segment of a larger industrial group that designs, makes and delivers equipment, consumables, software and services for marking and coding, consumer engagement, product traceability, authentication and digital textile printing.

The segment has more than 40 offices, over 3,000 employees and a presence in more than 28 countries, working in an international, multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the technical service team in Spain, supporting local customers in your assigned area.
• Carry out pre-installations, installations and maintenance on the company's equipment.
• Give technical training to colleagues and customers, both internal and external, when needed.
• Fill in service reports in full: time confirmation, spare parts used, tasks completed, service product, fault and solution codes, installed base data (serial number, ink, counter value, functional location), reverse flow, billing block code and billing request confirmation.
• Promote the company's service solutions to help customers keep equipment running and grow sales, keeping customer satisfaction a priority.
• Work with the Sales team to build relationships and help hit revenue targets.
• Visit customer sites in your area, with occasional national or international trips for training and meetings.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technical Service Engineer.
• A technical qualification or degree in electrical, electronics, networking or mechanics.
• Genuine interest in new technology and a habit of learning on your own initiative.
• Software experience and a solid grasp of software logic is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of vision cameras is a plus.
• Ability to assess technical problems and proactively recommend solutions.
• Ability to set priorities and manage several responsibilities at once.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent Spanish and upper-intermediate English.

Conditions

Based in Valencia area with travel to customer sites in your assigned region.
