Technical Product Owner – System & Data Integration

Description

The company builds the Data Computation Platform (DCP), and this role is a Technical Product Owner for assigned modules within it.

Modules range from open-source analytics to GxP-validated applications, and you work with validation specialists when compliance applies.

You own the technical side of your modules, turning business needs into sound designs and driving steady delivery.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction, architecture, database schemas and release roadmap for your assigned modules.
• Convert business and analytics needs into technical user stories and manage sprint backlogs in Scrum or SAFe.
• Lead module design, microservice architecture, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and API integrations with industrial data sources such as AVEVA PI, LIMS and MES.
• Oversee CI/CD release pipelines, system health, and level-3 technical support escalations.
• Serve as the main technical contact for Computerized System Validation (CSV) teams on regulated modules, aligning test cases, supplying specifications and keeping deployments compliant.
• Work closely with peers and help across modules when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in software engineering, technical product ownership or solution architecture.
• Strong development skills in Python, R, C, or modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or Angular.
• Proven work with microservices, RESTful APIs, relational data modeling and containerization.
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical GxP rules, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity or CSV workflows.
• Proven record of leading engineering teams and managing technical backlogs in Agile settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Nice to have: practical integration experience with manufacturing execution systems, SCADA or AVEVA PI.
• Nice to have: hands-on experience automating test execution in modern CI/CD pipelines.
