Description

The company has been around for 140 years and still runs with a start-up mindset and fast growth. It builds technology for energy, food, water and shipping, and it asks its people to act on their own initiative.

The team is building secure, scalable digital services that link the company's products with customers, service staff and cloud platforms. These services enable remote servicing, data dashboards, performance analysis and better equipment efficiency, reliability, compliance and sustainability.

This is a role that combines technical leadership with hands-on coding. You will turn business and customer requirements into sound technical designs, guide how they are built, weigh in on architecture and technical choices, and keep quality high across the software lifecycle. You will work with developers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, business stakeholders and DevOps staff to shape technical direction and deliver dependable, maintainable and secure software.

Responsibilities

  • Define technical solutions, implementation approaches, estimates and technical dependencies.
  • Guide and mentor developers through design discussions, code reviews, testing and sound engineering practice.
  • Write code and help solve technical problems alongside the team.
  • Take part in the full software lifecycle, from development and deployment through maintenance and handover to operations.
  • Make sure solutions are performant, stable, easy to use and maintain, and secure against cyber threats.

Requirements

  • You are an experienced, hands-on software engineer who likes to lead technically while still writing code.
  • You are organised and self-driven, and you can weigh long-term strategy against close attention to detail.
  • You take initiative, communicate clearly and work well across teams to move decisions and delivery forward.
  • You enjoy mentoring others and gaining influence through discussion, knowledge sharing and sound judgment rather than formal authority.
  • You have a solid background in software development and have designed, delivered and supported reliable software.
  • You are comfortable taking technical ownership while staying close to the code and the development team.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with C and.NET/.NET Core.
  • Experience designing and delivering backend or distributed systems, APIs and service-based architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working in Agile software development teams.
  • Experience mentoring developers and coordinating technical dependencies across teams.
  • Experience with deployment, maintenance, monitoring, logging, diagnostics and troubleshooting of production systems.
  • An advantage: experience with IoT, edge, telemetry, cloud-connected or industrial monitoring solutions.
  • An advantage: experience with microservices, messaging or event-driven systems.
  • An advantage: experience with Linux environments or time-series databases such as TimescaleDB or InfluxDB.
  • An advantage: experience with Angular, Python or other frontend and scripting technologies.
  • An advantage: experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, deployment pipelines or operational handover.
  • You do not need to meet every item above. If you are interested in the role and believe you can contribute, you are encouraged to apply.

Conditions

Priority is given to candidates who live in Lund or Flemingsberg or have an established presence in one of these areas, although applicants from other locations are typically welcome.

Applications must be submitted no later than November 15, 2026. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and the advert may be taken down once the right candidate is found.

Applications by email are not accepted because of GDPR.

Background checks are carried out on final candidates, and alcohol and drug testing is part of the pre-employment process.

Candidates are invited to complete Pymetrics behavioral assessment games after applying.

The company is committed to diversity, inclusion and equity in recruitment.

Benefits

  • You will help build advanced IoT solutions that are used around the world.
  • You will work with international teams and stakeholders.
  • You will grow as a technical leader and stay hands-on with the code.
  • You will work in a collaborative environment with flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
