This role leads the technical coordination, integration and operational reliability of digital operating room solutions built and supported by the company. It looks at the integrated system as a whole, including the company's own products, CE-marked third-party products, in-house control software, interfaces, infrastructure and customer-specific setups.
You are the technical link between the company's third-party portfolio, Product Management, Technical Services and R&D. You make sure issues are understood in full system context, assigned to the right owners and pushed toward a fix. The work combines system-level integration knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting on site, structured escalation handling, configuration review and writing practical service documentation specific to the company's systems.
The role owns technical coordination for the integrated solution, so the combined system can be configured, deployed, serviced and run reliably at the customer site.
The company was founded more than 35 years ago, is based in Munich and digitises medical workflows from diagnosis to therapy. Its digital ecosystem is used in 4000 hospitals across 120 countries. The company has around 2000 staff in 25 locations worldwide.
Responsibilities
Be the central technical contact for digital operating room solutions that combine the company's products, CE-marked third-party products and, where relevant, in-house control and orchestration software.
Keep a system-wide view of product functions, interfaces, dependencies, workflows, data flows and configuration needs.
Coordinate integration, configuration, commissioning and handover across the company, the customer and third-party suppliers.
Review system concepts, integration approaches and customer-specific configurations. Spot dependencies, risks and gaps that could affect function, serviceability or customer operation.
Define and maintain system baselines, interface assumptions, configuration requirements and known limitations.
Help set technical standards and integration patterns for deployments, and support technical evaluation of third-party products for integration.
Travel on site independently when a complex or business-critical problem needs direct investigation at the customer.
Study how the company's systems, integrated third-party components, control software, interfaces, infrastructure and customer configurations interact.
Reproduce and isolate problems where possible, and document them. Separate product defects from configuration, integration, interoperability, infrastructure and operational causes.
Judge customer impact, urgency and technical risk, choose next steps and give clear findings to the teams responsible.
Follow up fixes, configuration changes and workarounds until the problem is confirmed resolved or a next step is agreed.
Clarify who owns each reported issue, whether it involves the company's products, the integration, the control software, third-party products or customer infrastructure.
Start and manage structured escalations to the company's teams, R&D, Product Management, Technical Services, third-party suppliers or other responsible parties.
Make sure each escalation contains full system context, affected components and versions, configuration, reproduction steps, logs or other evidence, customer impact and timelines.
Track open issues and dependencies across the company, customers and suppliers. Keep actions visible and actively followed up.
Share status, risks, assumptions, workarounds and next steps with relevant stakeholders. Flag recurring problems that call for changes to the system, process or documentation.
Write and maintain service documentation specific to the company's systems where third-party documentation is incomplete, insufficient or not adapted to the setup.
Document system-specific configurations, interfaces, installation prerequisites, commissioning, troubleshooting, service workflows, recovery procedures and known limitations.
Record special configuration and integration steps needed for third-party products, company components or control software to work correctly in the combined solution.
Write clear diagnostic steps, recommended checks, escalation criteria and required information for remote and on-site support.
Keep documentation current with product and software versions, system architectures, configuration standards and lessons from on-site cases.
Explain complex system relationships and technical problems clearly. Help with training, technical reviews, lessons-learned sessions and consistent documentation across the organisations involved.
Requirements
Essential: hands-on experience with technical system integration, systems engineering, technical services or troubleshooting multi-component solutions.
Essential: ability to understand how products, software, interfaces, infrastructure, workflows, data flows and customer configurations work together as one system.
Essential: strong diagnostic skills. You investigate methodically, reproduce and isolate faults, and tell product defects apart from configuration, integration, infrastructure or operational causes.
Essential: experience coordinating issue resolution across several teams or suppliers, clarifying ownership, managing escalations and following corrective actions to resolution or an agreed next step.
Essential: ability to assess customer impact, urgency and technical risk, and to explain findings, assumptions, workarounds, risks and next steps to both technical and non-technical people.
Essential: strong technical writing skills, including producing practical guidance on configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, service and recovery.
Essential: comfortable working across organisational boundaries with customers, product teams, R&D, technical services and third-party suppliers.
Essential: willingness and ability to travel on site when complex or business-critical issues need investigation at the customer.
Essential: a structured, accountable way of tracking open issues, dependencies, evidence and follow-up actions.
Essential: proficient English and German.
