Engineer, Remote Support (with Dutch)

This remote support role sits in the Netherlands or Germany and reports to a Team Leader. You will support customers who speak Dutch, and you will work in a hybrid setup.

You will help field engineers, technicians and product support staff diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and debug faulty equipment and software. You will step in when first-line product support has not been able to find or fix the problem.

Responsibilities

• Give technical support to internal and external customers, such as machine operators, OEMs, developers, system administrators, field consultants and engineers.
• Work in the Power and Control hardware team for VFD and motion products, supporting Logix controllers, Powerflex and Kinetix systems and related equipment.
• Write and publish knowledgebase articles.
• Deliver strong customer service from the first contact until each issue is closed.
• Most support will take place by phone and email.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, computer science or information systems. Other degrees are considered if they are relevant to the role. Experience with the company or similar hardware can be used in place of the degree.
• Fluent English and Dutch at C1 or C2 level. This is mandatory.
• Understanding of industrial automation products and how they are applied, including their links to software and IT systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of PLCs.
• Preferred: experience with Windows and Office 365.
• Preferred: knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, Ethernet networking and HMI systems.

Conditions

You will work shifts from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.

The role is hybrid. You are expected to work at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, unless a business need takes you away from the office.

The role is based in the Netherlands or Germany.
