Description

The company is a pharmaceutical business that develops medicines in areas including immunology, oncology and neuroscience. This in-house Talent Acquisition team supports its operations in Ireland.

You will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager for Ireland and lead a set team of recruiters. Your job is to turn the Irish TA strategy into steady, high-standard delivery across the sites and business areas assigned to you.

The role combines people management, workforce partnering and hands-on recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, develop and manage your assigned recruiters, set clear expectations, give regular feedback and grow their skills.
  • Convert the Irish TA strategy into practical priorities, plans and measurable targets for your sites and business areas.
  • Distribute workload and track progress against hiring plans, service levels and critical business needs, stepping in early when capacity or delivery risks appear.
  • Run full-cycle recruitment for chosen senior, specialist or business-critical roles, keeping accuracy and follow-through high.
  • Build trust with site leaders, functional executives, Business HR, Total Rewards and other Centres of Excellence by giving concise, commercially aware advice.
  • Use workforce data, recruiting metrics and market intelligence to spot talent risks, forecast demand and suggest sourcing and hiring options.
  • Make sure candidates and hiring managers get a high-quality, inclusive and compliant experience at every stage.
  • Keep requisitions, approvals, offers, applicant tracking, documentation and reporting precise and audit-ready.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, headcount and budget discussions.
  • Work with the Early Careers Specialist on the early-talent strategy.
  • Improve processes by standardising them, sharing good practice and using technology and insights to raise quality, speed and efficiency.
  • Deputise for the Talent Acquisition Manager when needed, keeping leadership continuous and decisions and escalations timely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Extensive recruitment experience gained over time in a demanding, complex organisation, preferably in pharmaceuticals, biotech, healthcare, life sciences or another tightly regulated sector.
  • Proven people leadership, including coaching, performance support, workload management and capability building.
  • Proven record running end-to-end recruitment for professional, technical, scientific and leadership hires.
  • Very strong attention to detail, good judgement and the ability to take on wider leadership later.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and the wider HR function on business and workforce goals.
  • Working knowledge of employment practice, recruitment governance, data privacy and compliance rules.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruiting analytics and market insight to inform decisions and improve results.
  • Track record of proactive sourcing and building diverse, sustainable pipelines for hard-to-fill roles.

Conditions

Regular travel across sites in Dublin, Sligo, Westport and Cork is required to build strong, meaningful partnerships.

Eligibility is limited to the US and Puerto Rico.

The company is an equal opportunity employer, including for veterans and disabled people.
