Description

The company builds an AI-native workspace that helps legal teams work faster and with more precision, by reviewing thousands of documents in minutes and running end-to-end workflows.

It has more than 2,100 customers in over 80 countries, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays, and has reached over $200M in ARR.

Teams are based in Europe, North America and APAC, and the company has grown through acquisitions of Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler.

The company works with high-profile partners, including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg and his caddie, and Jude Law in campaigns.

The company values ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions, high standards, direct feedback, and growing together as a team and with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the APAC talent acquisition function from Sydney, covering the region and its hiring delivery, and report to the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition in New York.
  • Translate global TA priorities and standards into local execution, working with People and business leaders across the region.
  • Set priorities for the team, balance recruiter workloads against business needs, and coach them on sourcing, closing, and stakeholder management.
  • Turn approved hiring plans into priorities and milestones across functions and markets, and personally run selected complex searches from intake to offer.
  • Strengthen direct sourcing, referrals, and talent pipelines, use data to find stalled searches and the best sources, and manage APAC agency and RPO relationships, including when to use them and what to expect on quality, fees, and candidate data access.
  • Support workforce planning with the Senior Director of TA, People, and regional leaders, and help hiring managers set realistic outcomes and candidate profiles.
  • Bring market insight across Australia, North Asia, and Southeast Asia, and adapt global standards to local language and employment needs.
  • Coach interviewers to make evidence-based decisions, challenge unclear requirements, and build inclusive sourcing. Make sure every candidate receives clear, respectful communication, and use feedback from candidates, hiring managers, and new joiners to improve.

Requirements

  • A strong background in in-house talent acquisition at a growing SaaS or tech company, ideally VC-backed.
  • Experience leading talent acquisition partners while staying hands-on with delivery.
  • Experience hiring sales, technical, and corporate roles to the same standard, and changing your approach on hard searches without lowering the bar.
  • Experience recruiting across several APAC markets, including Australia, North Asia, and Southeast Asia, and adapting to each one. Languages beyond English are a strong plus.
  • Strong sourcing and engagement skills, including attracting people who are not actively looking.
  • A record of improving recruiting execution and managing budgets well, including working with local agencies and RPO partners where they are the right route.
  • The confidence to challenge hiring managers constructively and help them decide quickly and well.
  • Sound operational judgement: you can prioritise competing needs, diagnose a stalled search, and turn a problem into a clear next step.
  • A collaborative style and a real interest in helping others succeed.
  • Ability to work across APAC time zones, with occasional regional travel.
