Description

The company's Space Systems group in Aurora, CO is hiring a Software Systems Integrator at Level 3 or 4. The role is a cross-functional agile team position, and the level will be set by evaluating your qualifications against the list below.

The work centres on deploying and managing Kubernetes-based services, maintaining configuration-management documentation, running end-to-end system integration and validation, and automating regression tests. The ideal candidate is at ease troubleshooting on Linux and understands basic Docker and Java concepts. The posting also asks that you can debug services.

Responsibilities

  • Define baselines and control them: know which code, configuration and tools each official baseline contains, make every baseline reproducible and traceable through version tags, branches and build scripts, and admit only approved, reviewed changes.
  • Bring software from several teams into one working build deployed across multiple environments. Resolve integration conflicts and work with developers to fix problems and clarify interface requirements.
  • Work with the CM group to make sure baselines are tagged, documented and archived. Link each baseline to its requirements, change requests and defect records so you can show which features and fixes are in it and when they entered.
  • Support integration and regression testing by supplying stable, well-defined builds. Confirm that integrated baselines are testable, with correct configuration, data and environment. Help triage defects found in integrated builds by deciding whether the cause is integration, environment or code.
  • Spot integration risks such as late deliveries, unstable components and interface changes. Settle priorities when several teams need changes in the same baseline, and plan integration order based on what depends on what.
  • Take part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and backlog grooming with the cross-functional team.

Requirements

  • Level 3 requires a bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, a master's degree with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year. Another 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Level 4 requires a bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, a master's degree with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years. Another 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an adjudicated Full-Scope polygraph is required at the time of application.
  • Proficiency in Git, Linux and shell scripting, plus a basic understanding of Java.
  • Understanding of basic Docker concepts and Kubernetes services, with the ability to debug using the command line and/or Rancher.
  • Experience with the Atlassian tools Confluence and Jira.
  • Experience writing test procedures and running functional and check-out tests.
  • Security+ certification or an equivalent is required before the start date.

Conditions

Relocation assistance may be available.

Travel is required for about 10% of the time.

A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required for the start date. The clearance type is SCI.

The posting states the salary ranges are general guidelines. Actual base pay depends on the scope of the role and your experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

The application window is estimated at 20 days from the posting date, and may be shortened or extended based on business needs and candidate availability.

Benefits

  • Possible overtime, shift differential and discretionary annual bonus on top of base pay, depending on the position.
  • Primary level base salary range: $103,600.00 to $155,400.00.
  • Secondary level base salary range: $129,300.00 to $193,900.00.
