Description

The company is building an internal observability platform and this role owns how it is delivered and operated. The platform runs on Azure first, but it is being built to be hosting-agnostic, so it may later run on other cloud providers or on-premises.

You will make sure every platform component can be deployed, scaled, updated and rolled back in a controlled, repeatable way, wherever it runs. You will work closely with the Lead Engineer and the SRE team to balance engineering speed with operational stability.

Career stage: Senior Associate.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for all platform components, covering testing, validation, infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
  • Design and evolve GitOps workflows, including branching, environment promotion, approval gates and rollback.
  • Monitor the health and performance of the delivery pipeline, using the observability platform where it helps.
  • Assess and adopt tooling changes that improve deployment safety, pipeline reliability and developer experience.
  • Manage infrastructure as code in Terraform, covering module design, remote state, environment separation and secrets handling.
  • Run container and orchestration infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm, including stateful workloads such as ClickHouse and Redis.
  • Keep credentials out of version control and state files by managing secrets securely across pipelines and environments.
  • Build delivery and infrastructure patterns that run on Azure as the primary environment and stay portable to other clouds or on-premises.
  • Work with the Lead Engineer on infrastructure build decisions and with the SRE team on runbooks and recovery procedures.
  • Write and maintain documentation for deployment processes, environment configuration and onboarding new engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, owning the full path from commit to production.
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code, including module design, state management, secrets handling and environment separation.
  • Experience with GitOps, including pull-request-driven deployments, environment promotion and version-controlled configuration.
  • Experience running Docker, Kubernetes and Helm, including stateful workloads.
  • Experience with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and the ability to design patterns that stay portable across providers or to on-premises environments.
  • Ability to explain pipeline design, deployment state and operational risk clearly to engineering and SRE teams.
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with Azure services, including compute, networking, storage and identity and access management.
  • Nice to have: experience with on-premises Kubernetes or hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Nice to have: experience with AWS or GCP, especially where multi-cloud or provider-agnostic patterns were needed.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ClickHouse or Cribl from a deployment or operations angle.
  • Nice to have: experience adding observability tooling to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Nice to have: experience in a regulated, financial services or large enterprise technology environment.

Conditions

The company is a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider, with about 25,000 people in 65 countries.

Equal opportunities: the company does not discriminate on protected grounds and will make reasonable accommodations for religious practices, mental health and physical disability, as far as the law requires.

Benefits

  • Healthcare, retirement planning, paid volunteering days and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Access to the company Foundation, which gives charitable grants to community groups, with fundraising and volunteering opportunities.
