Systems Engineer (Top Secret/SCI with agreement to obtain CI Poly Clearance Required)

Description

The company is hiring a Systems Engineer with Linux system administration experience to support cloud and on-premise systems in a mission operations environment.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph after hire.

You will install, configure, administer, support and maintain mission-critical systems in cloud and on-premise settings, helping run and sustain a geospatial intelligence solution used by government end users.

Responsibilities

• Lead changes and improvements to the systems.
• Work directly with government and contractor points of contact to troubleshoot issues and suggest configuration changes that improve performance.
• Collaborate regularly with stakeholders to keep the systems compliant with security requirements.
• Write and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures.
• Support the day-to-day sustainment of mission-critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Linux system administration, including provisioning end users.
• Managing and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Building, tuning and maintaining multi-node environments that run parallel workloads.
• Administering Linux clusters with Slurm and MPI for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
• Reviewing STIG and IAVA scan results and fixing the vulnerabilities they identify.
• Performing virtual machine backups and snapshots.
• Supporting Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP) exercises alongside security teams.
• Writing scripts for administration, configuration, troubleshooting and automation.
• Understanding of systems architecture, software development and software sustainment practices.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent additional experience.
• An active TS/SCI clearance, and willingness to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph after hire.
• DoD 8570 compliant certification, such as Security+ or an equivalent or higher certification.
• Optional: Red Hat certification(s).
• Optional: Linux certification(s).
• Optional: Agile certification(s).
• Optional: Administration of team collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Optional: Experience with NGA networking environments.
