Software Engineer: Full Stack - Python, Java or JavaScript/TypeScript (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

The company is hiring a full stack software engineer for a mission-critical GEOINT program serving an Intelligence Community customer. You will design, build and deliver modern, cloud-native software that supports national security work, and the ideal candidate understands the full software development lifecycle and writes strong code across front-end interfaces, backend services and secure cloud integrations.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full software development lifecycle to build capabilities for GEOINT data access, visualization and dissemination.
• Design, develop, test and deploy software solutions.
• Build and maintain secure, containerized microservices and RESTful APIs using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, React, Node.js and Spring Boot.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines while meeting security and accreditation standards.
• Take part in Agile sprints, daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Work with mission users and product managers to refine requirements.
• Review code and mentor other developers.
• Complete prioritized tasks alongside the company's internal teams.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Web development skills with HTML, CSS, JSON, AJAX and REST APIs.
• Experience with modern front-end and back-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, Spring Boot, Django or Flask.
• Cloud development experience on AWS or Azure.
• Experience with relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Version control with Git.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Secure coding practices and familiarity with government accreditation processes (RMF, STIGs).
• Preferred: Go programming.
• Preferred: Front-end UI/UX design.
• Preferred: NoSQL databases (OpenSearch or Elasticsearch).
• Preferred: Specific AWS services (S3, EC2, SQS, SNS, RDS, CloudFormation).
• Preferred: Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM or Oracle.
• Preferred: Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or Ansible.
• Preferred: Geospatial tools and standards such as GeoServer, PostGIS, OGC APIs or ESRI ArcGIS.
• Preferred: Familiarity with modern software design patterns and secure coding standards.
• Preferred: Experience delivering complex software systems into production.
• Preferred: Experience supporting a customer contract or the Intelligence Community.
• Preferred: Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Security+ or SAFe Practitioner.
