Systems Engineer

Description

Job code BT-504, Systems Engineer.

The team coordinates and manages technical projects for a mission impact office, covering technical data analysis, IT security research, data integration, software evaluation, and graphical visualization across several projects on the Sponsor's enterprise IT systems.

Projects span the financial industry, telecommunications, media, and energy sectors.

You will work alongside a mixed group of staff and contractor targeting analysts to build mission-focused projects for the Sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Pull and combine network, computer, and mobile data from several Sponsor sources to produce added-value technical analysis for operational planning.
• Assess and merge technical and financial data using the Sponsor's IT systems.
• Spot key trends across technical and financial datasets and present them in briefings, proposals, and reports.
• Use financial technology and platforms to build tailored analytic reports for the Sponsor.
• Carry out IT security research to identify projects with Cyber Security Project Managers.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience analysing technical data across all-source datasets.
• Experience exploiting computer systems, networking, and mobile datasets.
• Experience using Sponsor datasets to build technical analysis and assess network vulnerabilities.
• Desired: experience with cryptocurrency technologies and financial transaction processes.
• Desired: experience analysing data with scripting and tools such as Python or Perl, or with general database work.
• Desired: experience working with internal and external financial offices.
• Desired: experience supporting technical operations development and cyber projects.
• Desired: experience explaining information to technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in presentations.
• Desired certifications: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS); Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator, Blockchain Intelligence Group (CCI).
