System Software Engineer (Up to $30,000 sign on bonus available)

Description

The company is a global technology and professional services firm serving US government, defense and intelligence agencies, with about 26,000 staff in more than 50 countries working in AI, cloud, cyber and software development.

You will support the NIGHTRAVEN program as a System Software Developer subject matter expert, leading a group of engineers for the customer.

This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $30,000.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support sprints, testing and release documentation.
• Coordinate with the customer lead and assign tasks to team members.
• Work with the program management office, customer leads and your team.
• Look for ways to bring new ideas and improve efficiency.
• Use Jira, Jenkins, Docker and other DevOps tools.

Requirements

• Technical training, a certification or a degree.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage sprints, coordinate the sprint backlog, set up test environments and manage release candidates.
• Hands-on skill with Scrum, Docker, Git, Jenkins and Nexus, plus other DevOps tooling.
• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript and Linux, including Rocky and RedHat.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Cypress for software testing.
• Must currently hold a Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph, or be able to obtain one.
• Full scope TS//SCI clearance with the DoW customer.
• EOTR experience.
• US citizenship is required.

Conditions

Onsite in Hanover, Maryland, with no remote option; all work is done in a SCIF.

40 scheduled hours per week, with flexible bi-weekly hours.

No travel required.

No public trust clearance required.

Likely salary range is $186,575 to $252,425. This is not a guarantee; actual pay depends on experience, geographic location and possibly contract requirements, and may fall outside this range.
