Senior Software Engineer

Description

The company builds software that helps health care and human service organizations improve clinical and financial results, serving more than 11,000 of them.

Its platform uses assessments to find skill gaps and offers personalized online learning from over 7,000 courses that meet accrediting board, state, and federal requirements.

This role leads software development on the team's Azure-based microservices platform, where you will design, build, and tune complex systems and guide the engineers working on them.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead advanced frontend and backend work using.NET Core, C, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React, so solutions stay robust, scalable, and tied to business needs.
• Give technical direction, validate solutions, and provide architectural leadership on complex projects, pushing for innovation and strong results.
• Work with the Team Lead, Manager, Architects, Cloud Engineers, and other stakeholders to set project goals, technical standards, and timelines, and shape planning and delivery.
• Review existing applications for performance problems, find bottlenecks, and put fixes in place to improve speed and scalability.
• Mentor associates, mid-level developers, and new hires, and help build a culture of learning and steady improvement.
• Oversee code reviews, enforce coding standards, and raise output quality by tracking and refining code quality metrics.
• Write and keep up detailed technical documentation that supports development and smooth operations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience, including at least 3+ years in a senior role centered on.NET and JavaScript.
• A record of delivering projects as a lead within a specialized team.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure.
• A Bachelor's degree.
• Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals certification. If yours is not current, you must obtain it within your first 60 days.
• AI-200: Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate certification. If yours is not current, you must obtain it within 6 months of your start date.
• Strong grasp of software engineering practices and cloud infrastructure, and the ability to apply Agile methods across complex projects.

Conditions

You must live in North Carolina within a commutable distance of the Morrisville, NC headquarters.

You are expected to work in the Morrisville office about 30 days per quarter, so you can meet regularly with your manager.
