Sr Engineer, Software (.Net)

Description

The company makes fuel dispensing equipment, including clean energy systems, payment systems, automatic tank gauging and wet stock management tools, sold under several brands such as Wayne Fueling Systems, OPW Fuel Management Systems, ClearView, Tokheim, ProGauge, Fairbanks, LIQAL, AvaLAN and Bulloch Technologies. It is part of the company, is headquartered in Austin, TX, and has technology development and manufacturing sites in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.

This senior role builds cloud solutions on AWS and Azure. You will write full stack code, with C for backend services and Angular for the frontend, and build scalable, secure applications and hybrid cloud integrations that meet industry standards. Experience with MikroTik or similar networking products is highly desirable for hardware-cloud integration work.

Location: Downers Grove, IL. Hybrid: 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home each week.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full stack and hybrid solutions across AWS and Azure.
• Build clean, secure C backend services and responsive Angular interfaces.
• Write APIs and custom scripts that connect cloud services to on-premises infrastructure.
• Join technical meetings to turn client requirements into scalable system architectures.
• Find and build features that improve speed, security and cloud efficiency.
• Write thorough documentation covering system designs, API endpoints and deployment steps.
• Run regular unit tests and peer code reviews to keep code quality high.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 troubleshooting for complex application and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Track changes in AWS, Azure and Angular to propose ongoing product upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 3 years of continuous experience in full stack development and cloud engineering.
• Strong skills in Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Strong skills in C and the.NET Core framework for backend services.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing resources on both AWS and Azure.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases (such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building automated pipelines with Git, AWS CodePipeline or Azure DevOps.
• Certifications are a plus: AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or relevant networking credentials.

Location: Downers Grove, IL, with a hybrid setup of 4 days in the office and 1 day from home per week.
