Description

The company works across innovative medicine and medical technology. Its MedTech sector develops smarter, less invasive and more personalized treatments.

This is a 10 to 12 week MBA internship in summer 2027, part of the MedTech Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP), which recruits high-performing MBA students.

The program builds leaders through demanding assignments, formal training, clear goals, and regular feedback and coaching.

You will apply your coursework, leadership skills and varied background to real healthcare projects. The work includes hands-on marketing, cross-functional teamwork and time with senior leaders, with a measurable effect on the business.

You will be placed in either Global Strategic Marketing or US Marketing, gaining experience in MedTech marketing.

The program covers three MedTech businesses: Surgery (Raritan NJ, Cincinnati OH, Santa Clara CA), Cardiovascular (Irvine CA and Danvers MA), and Vision (Jacksonville FL).

Strong interns may be considered for the full-time Leadership Development Program after graduation. Selection depends on internship performance, leadership potential, and the company's hiring needs for that program year.

Responsibilities

  • Work on strategic business questions with regular access to business leaders and teams across functions and regions.
  • Build a deep grasp of key issues, make decisions, and run projects from start to finish.
  • Apply your problem-solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills to the work.
  • Drive new ideas and work across a matrixed organization.
  • Global Strategic Marketing track (upstream):
  • Lead worldwide product launches and produce marketing materials, pricing approaches, promotion plans, training plans and forecasts.
  • Help shape global brand strategy, covering value propositions, segments, positioning and product lifecycle management.
  • Work with R&D to lead a Project Core Team that takes new products from concept to launch.
  • Build relationships with surgeon customers and key suppliers to uncover unmet needs in your assigned product categories.
  • US Marketing track (downstream):
  • Lead and carry out launches across North America, promoting the product and educating customers through direct initiatives.
  • Stay close to the market by talking often with customers: ride along with sales consultants, attend industry meetings and read medical journals.
  • Work with Sales teams to gather customer input and keep the marketing strategy aligned with it.
  • Match customer insights with what the product can do and how it is messaged.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners so that demand and supply line up.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in an accredited MBA program and expect to graduate by July 2028.
  • You have at least 4 years of relevant work experience after your undergraduate degree.
  • You are permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and will not need an employer to sponsor an employment visa, such as H-1B or green card, now or in the future. Students on CPT, OPT or STEM OPT usually need future sponsorship for long-term work and do not qualify, unless they hold another long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
  • You have shown you can quickly learn and adopt new AI tools and platforms as project needs change.
  • You are willing and able to relocate to an assigned program location, and your preferences are considered where possible.
  • You have shown real interest in advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes.
  • You think analytically and strategically and solve problems well.
  • You communicate clearly in speech, writing and presentations.
  • You make sound business decisions and manage complex projects in changing conditions.
  • You influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams and varied stakeholders.
  • You take initiative, drive results and handle ambiguity with little direction.
  • You have a record of achievement and ongoing growth in a professional setting.
  • You can work independently and also contribute well within a close team.
  • You show leadership potential: influencing without formal authority, leading through change and driving business impact.
  • Highly preferred: experience in healthcare and/or medical device technology, and in marketing.
  • Preferred: experience in product management, market research, sales, business development, consulting, strategy or other commercial functions.
