Student Engineer

Description

The company's Gothenburg site hires several student engineers each year, with the aim of moving strong students into permanent roles.

The role is more than a part-time job. You can shape your work around your interests and skills, and you will work alongside other students and experienced professionals on projects that range from internal R&D to customer-facing work.

The site values autonomy, responsibility and community. The team works on ADAS, and the company hopes to grow the next generation of engineers in that area.

Responsibilities

• Write scripts in Python and/or Matlab.
• Analyse data.
• Develop new algorithms for the company's products.
• Validate and test ADAS systems, including on test drives.
• Set up and maintain test vehicles.
• Work with CI/CD.

Requirements

• Be a current engineering student based in Gothenburg. This is mandatory.
• Have a background in Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Mathematics, Automation and Mechatronics, or a similar field.
• Be enrolled in a bachelor's programme or in the first year of a master's programme. The company only hires students at these stages because it wants you to work there for a while before your thesis.
• Experience with programming in general is valued, particularly in Python, Matlab and C/C++.
• Be positive, communicative and good with others.
• Be responsible and professional.
• Be structured and analytical.
• Be driven and self-motivated.

Conditions

Part-time during the semesters, with a recommended workload of 1, 2 days per week.

Full-time contracts over the summer, with room for you to take holiday.

The company aims to extend your contract for as long as it is mutually beneficial and you want to continue.

You can complete your master's thesis, or an equivalent project, with the company.

The company intends to offer a permanent position after graduation, but this depends on current needs and is not guaranteed.
