Description

The strategic sourcer builds and runs end-to-end sourcing strategies and a talent attraction plan to fill key talent gaps. The role also covers building talent pipelines, success profiles and talent communities.

You work across recruiting and social media systems and channels, using social tools and technology to deliver efficient, high-quality experiences for stakeholders. You act as an advisor, using market analysis and industry research to shape sourcing plans that build future capability and encourage stakeholders to plan ahead for their current and future talent mix and market availability.

Responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders to build talent pipelines before gaps or vacancies appear.

  • Act as the sourcing expert: use talent market intelligence from LinkedIn Insights and SeekOut and historical ATS fill data, and advise business leaders, recruiters and business HR.
  • Form external partnerships, attend conferences and engage with industry groups to find, approach and hire high-calibre talent that fits business needs.
  • Build deep knowledge of priority functions, culture and role scope, and present the company's Employee Value Proposition confidently, using the Smart Recruiters CRM.

  • Keep talent engaged as roles open, and share information about opportunities with them.
  • Report on critical roles and sourcing activity to stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with recruiters and candidates to maintain a qualified bench for current and expected needs.
  • Build trust with business leaders, recruiters, Total Rewards, Talent Development and business HR so you understand key roles and the obstacles to hiring top talent.
  • Collect data on competitors, market conditions and trends that could affect hiring the right people.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Extensive strategic sourcing experience, including contingent and retained search, ideally in pharmaceutical operations or manufacturing, and the ability to lead and influence others.
  • Experience with CRM systems is preferred, at an advanced level.
  • Experience screening, making first contact, pre-screening and interviewing candidates in depth by phone and in person.
  • Ability to build and carry out a talent strategy for critical roles, with a solid grasp of lead generation methods such as internet mining.
  • Experience using creative search methods to map talent and generate names, ideally with SeekOut or LinkedIn Insights.
  • Good team player, flexible and high in integrity, with strong negotiation and influence skills.
  • A steady record of delivering results, including when facing challenges or obstacles.
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive, driving performance with a high level of self-direction. Thrives when given considerable autonomy.
