Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead during pre-sales and sales for STATCOM and FACTS projects.
  • Lead the writing of technical proposals with the detailed engineering teams.

  • Take part in technical contract negotiations with prospective customers.
  • Review bid packages for quality before submission.
  • Manage scope and make sure interfaces connect cleanly, with no gaps or overlaps.

  • Help improve project engineering procedures, methods and tools.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering (automation, electrical, power systems or similar), or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Several years of engineering management on delivery projects or tenders, ideally in transmission grids (HV/MV substations, FACTS, HVDC).
  • Power electronics skills are a plus.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams with many interfaces and products from several countries.
  • Fluent English.
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and experience.
  • Prior experience in an international setting is preferred.
  • You are a self-starter, flexible, resilient and keen to learn.
  • You are a solid team player with good prioritising, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with electrical substations or equipment is an advantage.
