Description

The company serves millions of diners and more than 70,000 restaurant partners, and has worked in this field for 25+ years.

Its technology helps restaurants focus on their team, their guests and their bottom line, while helping diners find and book the right restaurant for any occasion.

You would join a global team that runs a portfolio of metasearch brands.

As Staff Technical Program Manager, you will plan, build and deliver key technical projects, connecting product and engineering work so roadmaps, milestones and risks stay aligned. Strong stakeholder management and sound judgment in complicated situations matter a great deal here, as does working through unclear problems to move strategy forward across engineering and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product and engineering leads to set program plans and milestones, manage risks early and define clear goals.
  • Keep roadmaps aligned across product areas by coordinating cross-functional work so strategic goals are met.
  • Lead transformation initiatives and build strategic roadmaps that bring teams together.
  • Champion engineering quality by helping keep software reliable and raising productivity across teams.
  • Work with Software Engineering, Platform Infrastructure and other key functions to uphold high quality standards.
  • Mentor junior TPMs to grow their careers and sharpen their program management skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements: 8-10+ years of software development program management on cross-functional projects.
  • Minimum requirements: 5+ years in a program management role.
  • Minimum requirements: expertise in Agile methods and tools.
  • Minimum requirements: a track record of handling complex software engineering challenges.
  • Minimum requirements: you work well with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Minimum requirements: experience coordinating release schedules and building processes that last.
  • Minimum requirements: hands-on skill in automation and scripting to create and improve workflows that run processes efficiently.
  • Preferred qualifications: background in a growth-stage or technology company.
  • Preferred qualifications: skill in breaking products or features into technical components and dependencies.
  • Preferred qualifications: software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
  • Preferred qualifications: familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

Conditions

This hybrid role requires you to work in the office two days per week.

The team works across multiple time zones, so most of your work follows standard business hours, but you may need to handle calls, Slack messages or emails outside them to work with international colleagues, restaurant partners or urgent issues.

The company follows local laws and regulations.

The company is committed to equal opportunity and an inclusive workplace.

If you need reasonable adjustments during the application, interview or on the job, contact your recruiter.

Benefits

  • 5 weeks paid vacation.
  • Private health and dental cover.
  • Work from almost anywhere for up to 20 days per year.
  • Company-paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth and a company-paid Headspace subscription.
  • One company-wide week off each year, so the whole team recharges.
  • Paid parental leave and a day off for your birthday.
  • Paid volunteer time.
  • Development Dollars, leadership development and access to thousands of on-demand e-learnings.
  • Travel discounts and employee resource groups.
  • Life assurance and income protection.
  • Support programme with 24/7 GP access and free legal advice.
  • Pension plan contributions.
  • Discounted gym membership and the Bike2Work scheme.
  • Season ticket loan.
  • Social events, Thursday happy hours and free lunch 2 days per week.
  • Hybrid model built around in-person time, with flexibility on the other days.
