This Staff Software Engineer role sits in the IAM department and reports to the Senior Director, Engineering. You will build workflows and application integrations with the wider IAM team, Product Management and business teams. Identity is now the main security boundary, and you will design and build enterprise-grade identity management products that help organizations move quickly under a cloud-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise-grade identity management products
• Take part in designing and implementing core product features and major technical initiatives
• Coach junior engineers on software development best practices
• Support a positive, collaborative team culture
• Work with other teams to take projects from start to production

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture and development
• Expert knowledge of Enterprise Java, OOP, OOA, systems architecture, RESTful APIs and frameworks such as Hibernate and Spring
• Strong knowledge of IAM protocols, specifically SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect
• Experience building enterprise-grade security or networking products
• Preferred: proven use of AI technologies and workflows to produce measurable efficiency gains
• Preferred: knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and container infrastructure
• Preferred: experience with Java reactive programming

Conditions

Hybrid role: 3 days a week in San Jose, CA

Full-time position

Base pay range: $133,000 - $190,000 USD across all US locations, based on role and level; actual pay may be higher or lower depending on skills, experience and education or training. The base range excludes commission, bonus, equity and benefits.
