Description

About the Role at RobCo

RobCo is building the category of Autonomous Industrial Robotics and we're doing it fast. We believe that automating the ordinary frees humans to do the extraordinary, and we're building the end-to-end robotics infrastructure to make that possible - hardware, software, and AI in one stack that just works.

As our Staff Robotic Sales Engineer (m/f/d), you are RobCo's most senior technical voice in sales, owning your own deals alongside Account Executives while setting the technical standards that make the whole Robotics Sales Engineering team stronger. If something is broken, you fix it. If something can be automated, you build it.

This is a technical leadership role without people management. You keep a quota with your own Account Executives, and a fixed part of your time goes into raising the technical bar across the team. You work where modular robotics, software and AI come together, and you help bring physical AI from the lab into real production. Sales leadership turns to you first when they want to know how strong the pipeline really is.

Your Responsibilities

Define how the team judges feasibility, including real-world limits beyond data sheets, edge cases and clear no-go criteria

Develop our requirement workshop format and handover standards further

Step into complex or escalating deals across the team, set the technical direction and stay involved until the responsible RSE can carry the case forward

Make the go/no-go call on difficult feasibility cases, review concepts before handover and approve larger price indications

Build reusable assets such as calculation models, reference layouts per use case and enablement material for Sales and our partners

Track which use cases keep coming up and which we win or lose, and feed these insights into focus areas and the product roadmap

Shape onboarding and ramp-up for new RSEs and give technical feedback across the team

Pitch to strategic customers, give talks at trade fairs and events, and decide with Marketing and Product what we demo and why

Stay the technical lead for your own Account Executives and share their quota

We're looking for someone who has:

Extensive experience in technical pre-sales, application engineering or automation projects, including time at a senior level

Experience working against a quota and winning complex deals

A track record as the person colleagues turn to when a feasibility question gets hard

The ability to recognize patterns across projects and turn them into rules, templates and tools that others use

Experience leading through expertise, with the trust of engineers and sales leaders in your technical judgement

The confidence to make a go/no-go call and stand behind it, even when a deal is on the line

Strong presence on stage and in the boardroom, from trade fair talks to pitches to strategic customers

Fluent German (C1+) and fluent English (C1+), and willingness to travel, around 30% of the time

Experience in physical AI (AI-based perception, learning-based manipulation, autonomous robots) is a plus

Experience building sales or partner enablement programs is a plus

A background at a robot manufacturer or system integrator is a plus

How you'll make an impact

You drive important, ambiguous initiatives to outcomes and define standards and approaches your peers adopt.

You translate strategy into execution with significant latitude and design improvements aligned with business goals.

You are a recognized subject matter expert at RobCo and set the technical or functional standards in your area.

Benefits

  • Develop modular, software-defined robotics solutions with us that set new standards in automation.
  • Help us build robots equipped with state-of-the-art AI that perceive their environment, analyze data, and make intelligent decisions in real time.
  • As part of a very dynamic and fast-growing scale-up, you will take on responsibility from day one, drive your own projects, and see the direct impact of your work.
  • Flat hierarchies, open communication, and regular 360° feedback enable fast decisions and support your professional and personal development.
  • Wellpass membership (7,200+ studios across Germany), regular team events, and a team that takes both the work and the culture seriously.
  • Flexible working hours, a modern office, and - depending on the role - the option to work from home.
  • Regular team events - from relaxed beer & pizza nights on the rooftop terrace to shared experiences on ski trips or at Oktoberfest.
  • About RobCo
  • Founded in Munich in 2020, RobCo leads the transition toward fully Autonomous Industrial Robotics. Our mission is to deploy RobCo in every factory - solving the industrial labor shortage through end-to-end robotics that just works. Powered by Physical AI, our solutions combine a scalable modular hardware architecture with intelligent software that continuously learns and improves, requiring zero upfront investment through our Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.
  • We solve our customers' most pressing pain points - labor shortage, cost pressure, workplace safety, and national reshoring - across the full spectrum of Autonomous Industrial Robotics. In October 2026, RobCo reached unicorn status with a valuation exceeding one billion US dollars, with its valuation doubling in less than nine months. With $200M raised from investors including Sequoia, Lightspeed, Lingotto, Kindred, Cherry Ventures, and the European Tech Collective, 225+ people globally, and 3.5M+ operating hours in the field, we are deploying robots in factories across Europe and the United States - with our US operations headquartered in Austin, TX, and our Bay Area Lab in San Francisco.
  • Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
  • At RobCo, applicants are selected regardless of ethnic origin, religion, gender, age, disability, or sexual orientation. All decisions throughout the recruitment process are based solely on applicants’ qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience, as well as relevant business requirements.
