The company runs a digital marketplace that connects buyers at large enterprises with manufacturers, and it is listed on NASDAQ.
This Staff Product Manager owns the request-to-quote experience for the company's most important customers, working between Sales and the quoting teams.
The role covers every path a quote request takes, from the channels it arrives through to the hand-offs between people and systems and the steps that need no human.
The work includes designing agents that read requests, build quotes and propose prices, MCP integrations across quoting systems and the ERP platform, and staff tools for reviewing agent output.
The role sits in the Pricing and Manufacturability group with the product managers for cost prediction, pricing and Design for Manufacturability, and reports to the head of P&M product.
You will get a metric and a problem space rather than a finished backlog, so you will define your own roadmap from unclear signals.
The pace is startup-like inside a public company, so this is not a fit for anyone who needs a clear brief and a stable backlog.
Responsibilities
Map every way a quote request moves today, from a customer's email, text, upload or agent through Sales, quoting, pricing review and back to the customer, and remove the steps that are not needed.
Measure success by quote turnaround time, cost per quote, quote accuracy and quote-to-order conversion on the human-assisted path.
Treat each intake channel as its own pathway with its own drop-offs and fixes, and decide whether a request goes to an agent, to a person, or to self-service.
Shape requests so they arrive structured, complete and partly priced before a person sees them.
Own the agentic quoting roadmap: agents that read requests and files and build quotes, assistants that suggest margin and lead time, and automation that moves human-priced parts into the instant-pricing engine.
Decide what the agent does, what a human confirms and what stays with a person, and define success and failure for each AI feature before engineering starts.
Own the integration layer across Salesforce, quoting systems, file storage and the ERP, including MCP servers, tool definitions, permissions and an audit trail of who or what changed a quote and why.
Own the internal quote review, pricing and quote summary tools, and treat adoption by the sales and quoting teams as the success measure.
Capture every human pricing decision, such as overrides, margin changes and lead-time adjustments, as structured data, and write your own queries and dashboards.
Run continuous discovery with quoters, account managers, inbound email and text queues and session recordings, and validate findings with working prototypes tested by real users.
Write a 6 to 12 month roadmap, prioritize it by customer impact and speed, and get Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Quoting Operations and Finance aligned behind it.
Prototype in Cursor, Claude and Figma Make and write specs that an engineer can pass to a coding agent.
Share the AI workflows that worked and the ones that failed with other product managers.
Requirements
At least 8 years of product management experience, including direct ownership of a workflow or operations product between a sales or service organization and its customers in a B2B, marketplace or enterprise setting.
Evidence of shipping AI or automation into an expert human process with guardrails, and of knowing when not to automate.
Experience integrating systems of record such as CRM, ERP, file storage and messaging, and a working understanding of how agents connect to them through tool protocols such as MCP.
A record of redesigning how requests enter a business across email, text, forms, APIs or agents, with the drop-off you removed shown in numbers.
Hands-on fluency with Cursor, Claude or similar agentic tools, and a clear view on evaluating large language model features before and after launch.
Evidence that AI changed a decision your team made, not only that it saved time.
Strong analytical skills: you write your own SQL, have built your own dashboard, and have caught a broken metric before it misled a decision.
Operational curiosity, with the trust of the people who run a process before you change their tools.
Clear written communication that lets an operations lead, an engineer and an executive act on the same document.
Comfort turning a loosely defined problem into a testable hypothesis and a plan.
A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Preferred: an example of a request-to-fulfillment funnel you redesigned across a sales team, a service team and their customers, covering the channels, the steps removed, the before and after numbers and how adoption went.
Preferred: experience building or owning an integration between an AI agent and a system of record, with a clear account of what the agent could do, what it had to ask a human, and how you knew it was wrong.
Preferred: experience shipping an AI or machine learning feature into a human-in-the-loop process, with its evaluation criteria, failure modes and post-launch monitoring described.
Preferred: an example where your team decided differently because of an AI-driven workflow you built.
Preferred: experience in manufacturing, supply chain, pricing or quoting, or a demonstrated fast way of learning an unfamiliar operational domain.
