The group runs eight brands across different meal occasions, including meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, meat and seafood subscriptions, and pet nutrition. Through technology, data and cooking, it reaches millions of homes.

This Staff Frontend Engineer role is about owning customer problems from start to finish, not just completing tickets. You will lead the customer-facing parts of the product, turning unclear customer issues into sound technical positions backed by data and customer research. You will use AI tools to ship high-impact features more quickly. Deep technical skill is your starting point, not your limit. You will work across functions, raise the architecture standard, and keep frontend platforms fast and dependable for millions of customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the customer-facing surfaces and drive measurable gains in conversion, activation and retention.
• Take customer problems from framing through to launch: build a technical position, test it with data and customer insight, then deliver it.
• Go full-stack when a user problem requires it, crossing layers to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Instrument, monitor and improve frontend performance, reliability and observability once features run in production.
• Define the frontend platform's architecture and direction, and state openly the trade-offs between user impact and engineering complexity.
• Work with product management, design and analytics to test hypotheses early, prototype fast and keep a rapid, continuous release rhythm.
• Promote AI developer workflows such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot, define practical standards for agentic coding, and make AI a daily productivity gain for teams.
• Coach frontend engineers across squads and set standards for code quality, reusable design components and scalable frontend systems.

Requirements

• Deep working knowledge of React Native, plus experience with the full app release cycle, test automation, on-device performance and platform UX conventions.
• Strong command of React and TypeScript, with a solid base in web performance and distributed frontend architecture. You can ship coherent user experiences in early iterations without a designer.
• A strong product sense: clear views on what to build and why, supported by data and user evidence.
• Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools and agents. You know how prompt context, constraints and validation affect code quality, and you put guardrails around AI-generated code.
• A drive to ship and full ownership: you see projects through to completion and care about the final stretch.
• Clear, evidence-based decisions. You balance customer empathy against engineering complexity through careful trade-off analysis.
