Description

The company is a global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and has been pioneering in the field for 25 years. It is widening its focus beyond diabetes toward consumer health technology and personalized health insights, while still building products for serious conditions.

The Information Security team is building Enterprise Cyber Defense (ECD), a global group focused on proactive, threat-informed defense. It covers detection engineering, incident response, threat hunting and validation, cyber readiness, cyber risk response, security automation, and defensive technology engineering.

This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role. You will own engineering work across detection, response, hunting, automation, and readiness, lead complex investigations and technical initiatives, and mentor junior engineers and analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Build, tune, and retire enterprise detection content across all environments, from requirements and detection logic through correlation rules and validation.
  • Lead complex investigations, escalations, and unusual or emerging risk scenarios, guiding containment, recovery, risk reduction, root-cause analysis, and lasting fixes.
  • Hunt for threats using threat intelligence, adversary behavior, and security telemetry, then turn the results into better detections and controls.
  • Build response capabilities such as telemetry integrations, SOAR workflows, playbooks, and agentic response patterns with suitable human review.
  • Write scripts, API integrations, and automation that cut manual work, make responses more consistent, and expand what each analyst can handle.
  • Review security telemetry, detection coverage, and defensive tooling, and fix visibility gaps.
  • Support red and purple team work, adversary emulation, detection checks, and simulations to find and close gaps.
  • Run readiness work such as technical exercises, playbook checks, escalation tests, and readiness assessments.
  • Partner with the InfoSec group and IT to tighten controls and keep technical documentation and procedures current.

Requirements

  • Proven record of independently owning cyber defense solutions and complex technical projects.
  • Strong experience with SIEM, SOAR, XDR/EDR, NDR, identity and email telemetry, cloud security, and enterprise networking.
  • Solid engineering skills in detection logic, automation, telemetry pipelines, API integrations, or security tooling, using Python, PowerShell, SPL, KQL, SQL, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of adversary behavior, threat hunting, incident response, digital forensics basics, detection engineering, cyber threat intelligence, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Experience applying automation, AI, or machine learning to detection, investigation, or automated response, with appropriate human oversight.
  • Ability to lead complex investigations on your own, work across teams, mentor practitioners, and explain technical findings and risk clearly.
  • Typically a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline plus 8-12 years of related experience, or a Master's degree plus 5-7 years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD plus 2-4 years of experience.
  • You may also bring certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or equivalent security certifications.

Conditions

Salary range: $156,400.00 - $260,600.00.

Travel: 0-5%.
