Staff Customer Qualification Engineer - 2276

Description

The role supports customer qualifications for datacenter SSD products, mainly during the product qualification phase.

You will help with test plan development and execution, failure analysis, and status reporting.

The work includes making sure all hardware and software for a qualification is set up and ready to run, reporting on execution and issue status, and joining update meetings.

The company is a U.S. subsidiary of the company Corporation, a global maker of flash memory and SSDs, and its work covers BiCS FLASH 3D flash memory for smartphones, PCs, SSDs, automotive and data centers.

Responsibilities

• Run complex qualification infrastructure for several customers at once.
• Plan and carry out customer qualifications on schedule.
• Coordinate tasks with the Product Support lead.
• Triage failures found during qualifications.
• Track issues in defect tracking systems.
• Push issues to resolution promptly.
• Write test status reports regularly.

Requirements

• You hold a BS in computer engineering or a related field, with 7+ years of hands-on technical experience with SSDs or similar storage devices.
• You have an advanced grasp of computer system architecture.
• You can troubleshoot at the platform level, including run/break/fix work and issue isolation.
• You have triaged issues on Windows and/or Linux server operating systems.
• You have written Python, PowerShell or Bash scripts for use across teams.
• You are comfortable manipulating and analyzing data in spreadsheets or more advanced tools.
• You communicate technical detail clearly, even in complex situations.
• Preferred:
• Experience with PCIe/NVMe protocols, including analyzer and power measurement tools.
• Experience with SSD performance measurement tools and methods.
• Experience with OCP Datacenter NVMe SSD specifications and SSD test systems.
• Experience working with stakeholders in a product development organization.

The expected salary is $115,470.00 to $192,440.00.
