Sr. Solution Architect

Description

The company is a large healthcare business whose insights, products and services aim to make quality care more accessible and affordable.

The team is looking for a senior solution architect to lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure and resilient technology that supports business change.

You will work with business, product, engineering, security and operations teams to set architecture direction, plan future-state capabilities and oversee delivery across enterprise platforms.

The ideal person has deep knowledge of cloud-native design, integration patterns, enterprise application architecture and modern engineering practices, and will shape strategic technology decisions across complex, cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Set architecture strategy, target-state roadmaps, standards and governance frameworks that match business goals.
• Design large-scale solutions using cloud-native, microservices, API-first and event-driven architectures.
• Run architecture assessments, fit-gap analyses and modernization work across complex application portfolios.
• Build scalable integration patterns using APIs, middleware, messaging platforms and event streaming.
• Work with engineering teams on DevSecOps, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, observability and reliability practices.
• Work with security teams to build in secure-by-design principles, identity management and regulatory compliance.
• Assess emerging technologies, including AI and GenAI, and define reusable architecture patterns that deliver business value.
• Mentor architects and engineers and shape enterprise technology direction and architecture governance.

Requirements

• You have 7+ years in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, software engineering or technology leadership.
• You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or have equivalent practical experience.
• You have designed and delivered large distributed applications in complex environments.
• You have deep experience in enterprise application architecture and solution design across several business domains.
• You have hands-on cloud architecture experience, ideally with Microsoft Azure.
• You have strong experience with microservices, API architecture and integration patterns.
• You have supported architecture governance, standards development and enterprise technology roadmaps.
• You can explain architecture decisions, risks and tradeoffs to both technical and business audiences.
• Nice to have: experience with event-driven and composable architecture design.
• Nice to have: working knowledge of data integration, data modeling and data platform concepts.
• Nice to have: experience with security architecture, identity and access management (IAM), Zero Trust and secure-by-design practices.
• Nice to have: experience with container technologies and Kubernetes platform architecture.
• Nice to have: experience with DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
• Nice to have: experience with performance engineering, scalability tuning and resiliency design.
• Nice to have: experience with AI and GenAI integration patterns, intelligent automation and enterprise AI solution design.
• Nice to have: experience with observability, site reliability engineering (SRE), monitoring, logging and operational excellence.

Conditions

Pay is a base range of €66,000 - €110,000, set by experience, skills, performance, equity, market data and location, and kept within applicable regulations.

Annual bonus or long-term incentives may be offered on top of base pay.
