Sr. Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Description

In this role you will work on hard engineering problems for partners in aerospace, medical devices, robotics, automotive, commercial vehicles, EVs, rail and other sectors, with access to mentorship and room to grow in your career.

Responsibilities

• Build, upkeep and improve software, mainly in C and C++.
• Write, debug and test software for embedded and Linux systems.
• Investigate software defects, find their underlying causes, and put fixes in place.
• Work with other teams to fold software into wider system setups.
• Carry out unit, integration and regression tests.
• Review peers' code and check it against coding standards and good practice.
• Help with software builds, releases and ongoing sustainment of products.
• Write and keep up technical documents covering development and testing.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of paid software development experience.
• Strong hands-on skill in C.
• Production experience with C++.
• Experience working in Linux development environments.
• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting and software testing.
• Comfortable working alone with little supervision in a quick-moving engineering setting.

Conditions

You must be based at one of three sites: Westminster, CO, El Segundo, CA, or Austin, TX.

Pay depends on factors such as location and your job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training and experience.
