The company is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial business in smart mobility, running tolling and violation transactions for large commercial fleets and rental car companies. It serves more than 8.5 million vehicles, handles nearly 165 million transactions a year, connects with over 50 tolling authorities and more than 400 issuing authorities, and operates in 15 countries in 22 languages.
The company plans for the future, building solutions that work today and will still work tomorrow. It pursues growth both organically and through acquisition, aiming to stay the undisputed market leader. Its core values are Do What's Right, Lead with Grace, Win Together, and Own It, and its team works with a people-first approach.
The role is for a senior software developer to design, build, modernize, and support enterprise applications on both modern and legacy stacks. You will build new cloud-native applications with C, modern.NET, React, microservices, APIs, and micro frontends, and you will maintain and gradually modernize legacy applications built on.NET Framework, C, and ASP.NET. You will also mentor engineers and raise the standard of engineering across the team.
Responsibilities
Design and build scalable, secure, maintainable applications with C, modern.NET Core, REST APIs, React, microservices, and micro frontends.
Turn business and product requirements into technical designs, APIs, services, components, data models, and integrations.
Apply SOLID principles, clean architecture, separation of concerns, dependency injection, domain-driven design, and suitable design patterns.
Set service boundaries that keep coupling low so teams can develop, test, deploy, and scale independently.
Build and deploy cloud applications using cloud-native services, containers, CI/CD, configuration management, logging, monitoring, and observability.
Build and integrate REST APIs, asynchronous messaging and events, and external system integrations.
Work through iterative development and release cycles within Scrum.
Work closely with product managers, tech leads, architects, QA, DevOps, application support, security, and other engineering teams in an Agile product operating model.
Coach junior and mid-level developers on design, coding standards, debugging, testing, AI-assisted development, and engineering practice.
Investigate complex production incidents, find root causes, and deliver lasting fixes and preventive measures.
Write and maintain thorough technical documentation.
Own assigned capabilities from technical design through development, testing, deployment, production validation, and ongoing support.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
Typically 10+ years of professional software development, including substantial hands-on work building enterprise applications in C and.NET.
Hands-on experience designing and building full-stack enterprise applications, not mainly maintaining existing ones.
Proven ability to take a complex requirement from analysis and design through implementation to production.
Strong written and verbal communication, and a habit of sharing knowledge and collaborating.
Experience working in teams and with Agile methods is required.
Strong hands-on skill with C, modern.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web API, RESTful services, dependency injection, asynchronous programming, LINQ, Entity Framework and EF Core, and enterprise application development.
Strong experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, component-based development, state management, API integration, and modern frontend work. Micro frontend experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to design applications using SOLID principles, clean code, design patterns, layered or clean architecture, microservices, API-first design, event-driven concepts, domain modeling, resiliency patterns, and loosely coupled systems.
Experience building and running applications in a public cloud, Azure preferred, including CI/CD pipelines, containers, cloud services, configuration, secrets management, monitoring, logging, and observability.
Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database skills, preferably SQL Server, including data access layers, integrations, APIs, messaging-based integrations, and efficient database access.
A solid understanding of security practices, including authentication and authorization services.
Strong experience with automated unit and integration testing, mocking, API testing, code quality, static analysis, secure coding, and automated quality gates.
Create, update, and improve stored procedures, SSRS reports, and SSIS packages.
Skilled use of generative AI and code-generation tools across the SDLC, not just for writing code, including requirement clarification, design, implementation, refactoring, test generation, debugging, documentation, and pull request and code review.
Works in line with the company's core values: Own It, Do What's Right, Choose Courage Over Comfort, and Win Together.
