Description

The company is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Founded as a small business 25 years ago, it is now widening its focus beyond diabetes toward personalized, actionable health insights.

The IT Data & Analytics team turns data into decisions that support people living with diabetes. It builds and runs the analytics platform, data products, and dashboards used by Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Operations.

This senior management role leads analysts and engineers in the U.S. and abroad, sets the direction for reporting and analysis, and partners with business leaders to put analytics and AI-driven insights into day-to-day decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and grow a global group of BI analysts and developers, including managed-service partners, and define priorities, standards, and career paths.
  • Own the BI roadmap and work with stakeholders in Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial to convert their goals into ranked analytics projects.
  • Oversee platform management and the design, delivery, and support of enterprise dashboards, semantic models, and self-service reporting, primarily in Tableau and Power BI.
  • Work with Data Engineering and Data Architecture to keep curated data models in the cloud data platform dependable, governed, and scalable.
  • Set up and enforce BI governance: certified data sources, KPI definitions, data quality checks, access controls, and documentation that satisfy the requirements of a regulated environment.
  • Run intake, demand, and capacity planning for your team, and report on delivery, adoption, and business impact to IT and business leaders.
  • Drive platform modernization and new capabilities such as cloud BI, AI/ML-assisted analytics, and natural-language query.
  • Manage vendor and licensing relationships for BI tools and help shape budget and staffing decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, typically with 13+ years of industry experience.
  • 5-8 years of prior people management experience.
  • Track record of leading and growing high-performing BI or analytics teams, including staff across time zones and offshore partners.
  • Hands-on experience running enterprise BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, plus strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Working knowledge of modern cloud data stacks such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar, along with dbt, Fivetran, and other ELT or orchestration tools.
  • Ability to turn business problems into analytics solutions and explain insights clearly to executives.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security practices.
  • Skill in stakeholder management, prioritization, and running delivery with Agile methods.
  • Nice to have: experience in medical devices, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of ERP data such as Oracle Fusion or SAP.
  • Nice to have: Tableau or Power BI certifications.
  • Nice to have: exposure to AI/ML or GenAI analytics.
