Description

Applications for this role are expected to close on 9 Nov 2026.

The role is Senior Engineering Program Manager on the R&D team of the cardiac ablation unit, part of the company's cardiac portfolio. The unit builds next-generation technologies that diagnose and treat abnormal heart rhythms through cardiac ablation.

You will sit on a cross-functional core team that plans, integrates, executes and delivers complex software programs for the company's ablation software portfolio.

You act as the central link between software engineering, systems engineering, quality, regulatory, marketing, manufacturing and clinical teams so that software release trains and portfolio commitments land on time.

The team is looking for a seasoned program leader who has run software-intensive medical device programs, can keep work moving through unclear situations, and can lead people across a matrixed organization. You will bring visibility to the work, support sound decisions, manage risk early and keep business goals and technical delivery aligned.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution from start to finish for the ablation software release programs.
  • Build and maintain integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, critical paths and execution approaches.
  • Align and hold accountable the software, systems, quality, regulatory, clinical, operations and commercial stakeholders.
  • Manage program risks, technical dependencies, integration work and escalation paths.
  • Run governance reviews and give leadership clear views of program status, risk and delivery confidence.
  • Work with engineering leaders on release readiness, prioritization and predictable delivery.
  • Plan resourcing and capacity so staffing matches portfolio priorities.
  • Prepare executive communications, decision materials and recommendations that let leaders decide quickly.

Requirements

  • Either a bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience, or an advanced degree and 5+ years of experience.
  • A proven record of running large software development programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with software-intensive medical device or other regulated product development programs.
  • A solid grasp of software development methods, release management, systems integration and product lifecycle processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation and executive presentation skills.
  • A track record of influencing people without formal authority.
  • For a bachelor's degree earned outside the United States, the degree must meet the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
  • Preferred: 10+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Preferred: an advanced degree such as an MBA, an MS in engineering or computer science, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience with Class II or Class III medical devices.
  • Preferred: experience with Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Preferred: a PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe or related certification.
  • Preferred: experience supporting global regulatory submissions and commercialization.
  • Preferred: experience leading software, systems and quality integration across several concurrent release trains.

You must work onsite at least four days per week.

Occasional travel may be required to support business goals.
