Sr Embedded Software Engineer

Description

The company is hiring a senior software engineer for its Embedded Software Platform team in Athens, Greece, which sits within the Embedded Processing group.

You will own the platform software, including drivers, middleware and the RTOS, that runs on the company's devices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain low-level drivers, middleware and RTOS integration for the company's devices.
• Take responsibility for software quality, from design review through to verification.
• Write, test and document embedded software.
• Plan your own work, help with team-level software planning and report progress to the project lead.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise their technical work.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering, computer science or a related field, plus 5+ years of embedded software development in consumer electronics, automotive, medical or a similar area.
• Strong C skills and a record of designing software for deeply embedded, resource-constrained platforms.
• Hands-on experience with 8/16/32-bit MCU architectures, including ARM Cortex-M.
• Full competence across the software lifecycle, including verifying and testing deliverables against specifications and requirements.
• Comfortable debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, multimeters and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
• Experience with Agile, CI and test automation, and with version control tools such as Git, SVN, Bitbucket or GitHub.
• Able to set priorities and goals and meet deadlines for yourself and others.
• Strong written and verbal communication and a collaborative style across engineering teams.
• Experience with MCAL development, AUTOSAR System Services and safety-certified RTOS kernels such as SafeRTOS or AUTOSAR OS.
• Experience with ISO 26262 / ASIL B, D development and ASPICE processes.
• Experience with MISRA C and static analysis.
• Experience with AI-assisted development.
