Project Engineer

Description

Silent Aire, based in Dublin, is part of the company. The company designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling systems and modular data center solutions, including modular data centers and power room modules.

The company runs 13 manufacturing sites and employs about 3,000 people worldwide. Its products are used by large hyperscale cloud providers and data center operators.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with daily project coordination.
• Handle several projects at the same time.
• Keep in touch with the general contractor and client team on site about the schedule, and raise any problems with the PM.
• Write clear, accurate reports for management.
• Keep project costs under control and within budget.
• Make sure clients receive a high-quality finished product and service.
• Turn client needs into practical timelines the site team can meet.
• Look for ways to improve site installation and commissioning, with product and service quality as the main priority.
• Track and record accurately any site delays or issues that could affect commercial outcomes.
• You will lead on project execution across delivery, coordination, records, reporting and document control.
• You will coordinate project deliverables across engineering, manufacturing and QA/QC.
• You will chair lessons learned, RAID and site meetings as needed.
• You will lead quality reporting and client relations.
• You will share responsibility for procurement when required, supplier relations and coordination, and continuous improvement.
• You will mentor and motivate team members and put checks in place to reduce mistakes, using lessons learned.
• You will contribute on technical matters and suggest minor design changes that make site work more efficient.

Requirements

• At least 3 years in a site management role in manufacturing or construction.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• A clear understanding of customer expectations and a commitment to good-quality products.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• A full driving licence.
• Strong organisational skills.
• A hands-on, action-oriented approach.
• Close attention to detail.
• A proactive, results-driven attitude.
• A solution-focused mindset.
• Optional: First Aid, IOSH, PSCS, slinger/banksman training, manual handling, Safepass and working at heights certifications.
• Optional: experience delivering HVAC work in the data center industry.
• Optional: ability to read technical drawings, including P&IDs and electrical diagrams.
• Optional: ability to lift team morale and drive continuous improvement.
