Description

You will join a highly engaged team that works to sharpen marketing performance for a Fortune 100 company.

The role focuses on email marketing. You will support and improve those efforts by combining data skills, business judgment and clear communication to turn complicated information into recommendations people can act on.

You will act as a trusted advisor to several marketing teams, helping them decide faster and better through data, reporting, analysis and performance work.

The best fit pairs deep analysis with strong business partnership and enjoys improving marketing results across a large scale.

Your work starts with data and builds an understanding of customers and of the marketing that reaches them. You enjoy solving problems, connecting ideas and working in an organized, informed project team. You pay close attention to detail and take ownership of quality and workflow.

As a Specialist, you will build marketing information capabilities and insights for production teams or internal business partners. This includes business and data analytics projects and the upkeep of intermediate statistical models. You will also grasp the business context analytics work depends on, gather and lead data, run analyses, interpret results, define requirements for analytical solutions, share insights with internal clients and help apply those insights to marketing decisions.

You may join projects at any stage, from initiation and scoping through design, development, analytic work and rollout. You will document business rules, business cases and requirements, including information and analytic needs and rollout plans for changes to customer data and decision making in both analytical and operational settings.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end email marketing measurement: set up processes, collect data, classify campaigns, report, visualize, analyze and recommend optimizations.
  • Work closely with Marketing Managers and Marketing Integration teams to turn data into insights that lift campaign performance.
  • Build reports and dashboards that show stakeholders results, trends and opportunities.
  • Apply rigorous analysis to judge marketing effectiveness and choose actions that improve outcomes.
  • Extend support to other marketing channels and cross-functional teams as needs change.
  • Help run multiple business and data analysis projects that advance business goals.
  • Take part in project workstreams that carry out analytics and deliver analytic and operational solutions.
  • Build an understanding of business processes and help identify key business metrics and the information needed for decisions.
  • Document the work of business subject matter experts and help lead business alignment and scoping sessions.
  • Gather, analyze and interpret varied underlying data to support business, customer and financial goals, and find new ways to combine business data to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Help improve or build statistical models for business problems, define requirements for advanced machine learning models, design the testing approach and help move final models into production.
  • Help interpret statistical and analytical results and build a feedback loop to improve analyses.
  • Create data visualizations for business needs.
  • Help design and run qualitative and quantitative research that measures consumer perception and satisfaction.
  • Help drive marketing action and results by applying data and research findings.
  • Help lead business implementation planning sessions.
  • May run post-implementation checkpoints with business units to confirm solutions are working well.
  • Work with your leader to influence change and win support from leadership and key partners for new processes and methods.
  • Help develop governance, documentation and training for new processes.
  • May take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to present clearly and turn data into business insights that are easy to understand.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing and customer data in systems such as Salesforce, Databricks, Teradata or similar.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods, including test design and statistical significance.
  • Experience with visualization and reporting tools, with Power BI preferred.
  • Able to work across teams, handle several priorities at once and shape decisions through insight and collaboration.
  • Undergraduate study is expected; postgraduate study is preferred.
  • Typically five or more years of related experience with analytic techniques, statistical methods, statistical software and data analysis.
  • Experience solving business problems and working with large customer or prospect databases.
  • Experience using product, geographic and demographic data to find trends and opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the analytic lifecycle, business intelligence, data warehousing, SQL, and qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Proven skill in problem solving, analysis, research and quantitative work, including regression, decision trees and multivariate analysis.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in writing ad hoc SQL queries.
  • Understanding of the Agile framework.
  • Other criteria, such as leadership skills, competencies and experience, may take precedence.
  • Consistently demonstrates the company's values.
