Description

The company is a Fortune 100 business with nearly $70 billion in annual sales, and its technology team adopts new tools to get real business results.

You will support planning, coordination and delivery of complex technology work in the Annuity Modernization Program within Financial Technology. The program updates the platforms and capabilities behind the company's annuity business.

You will work with business and technology leaders to make delivery more predictable, clear blockers and get value to users sooner. The role helps shape a capability that matters a great deal to the company.

The work offers a chance to drive large-scale change and work directly with senior leaders across the organization.

The technology group works in an agile setting with a collaborative culture and builds secure solutions that serve customers.

As a Delivery Leader you own the delivery of value and outcomes. You will take an end-to-end view, manage dependencies and financials, work with vendors, and deliver value in iterations. You need to keep current with software delivery and organizational change methods, and understand financial, Agile, Lean and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of intended business outcomes and the benefits set out in the business case, including incremental value, incremental planning and scoping of dependencies.
  • Apply secure software and systems engineering practices at every stage of delivery to protect data and technology from threats and weaknesses.
  • Manage communication, critical issues, visibility and change management guidance so business outcomes are reached.
  • Help run contract negotiations, write statements of work and oversee vendors toward agreed goals.
  • Set delivery priorities, handle moderate to complex issues and risks, and govern dependencies.
  • Produce status and health reports that track value, such as KPIs, improve the flow of value, and balance demand against capacity.
  • Manage medium to large project and product financials.
  • Advise others on delivering business outcomes, realizing benefits, agile delivery and Lean.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.
  • Report to a Delivery Leader or a Business Solution Area Executive.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science or data analytics.
  • Comparable experience and education is strongly preferred.
  • Technology certifications or PMI, SAFE, Agile or Lean designations are encouraged.
  • Six or more years of experience in technology or a related field.
  • Three years of demonstrated experience delivering outcomes or projects.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Ability to make decisions and give recommendations.
  • Skill at influencing people, building relationships and setting priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for associates at all levels, senior management and vendors.
  • Insurance or financial services industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Leadership skills, competencies and experience may take precedence over the criteria above.
  • Exceptions to the above require approval from the hiring manager's leader and an HR Business Partner.
  • Consistently demonstrate the company's values.

Conditions

Overtime: exempt, not eligible.

Hybrid: work in the office 2 days a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, in Columbus, Ohio (preferred), Des Moines, Iowa, or Scottsdale, Arizona. Remote internal associates may also be considered.

Expected starting salary is $118,000.00 - $178,000.00, with a national range of $118,000.00-$222,000.00. Placement depends on skills, education, training, credentials, experience, the scope, complexity and location of the role, local labor costs and other conditions.

Pay figures are full-time; part-time pay is prorated by hours worked.

Applications are accepted until 11/13/2026, but may close sooner if a strong slate is found, so early applications are encouraged.
