Spare Parts Engineer

Description

The Gas Power Technical Compliance group gives technical guidance and direction so that products, projects and services for the HD and Aero businesses meet Technical Regulations & Standards (TRS). It covers TRS expertise and applicability across the whole life of Power Generation equipment, from New Product Introduction (NPI) through Inquiry to Order (ITO) to Order to Remittance (OTR).

You will work across Gas Power and with customers, authorities and authorized agencies, in a multicultural, multifunctional setting, to confirm that the products and services offered are technically compliant.

Responsibilities

• Work with several supply chain groups to solve reactive and proactive issues.
• Take part in ERP releases that affect TRS compliance.
• Help move compliance data and documents from the document repository to PLM.
• Review quoted and ordered parts for TRS compliance.
• Check TRS compliance documents gathered from part manufacturers.
• Contact vendors for technical data and compliance information on parts.
• Keep commercial authorization codes up to date in ERP.
• Maintain the TRS document repository.
• Make sure replacement parts are added to unit records, and add compliance requirements to part drawings where needed.
• Support the trade compliance team with customs and export control classifications for parts.
• Identify the procedures and training the parts compliance team needs, and carry them out.
• Run weekly validation checks and report team metrics.
• Follow EHS rules, remind others to do the same, complete mandatory EHS training, and report incidents and near misses straight away as required.
• Take on other tasks your immediate leader or manager assigns, verbally or in writing.

Requirements

• A degree from a technical university (Master's) or a college (Bachelor's), or equivalent, in mechanical, mechatronics or electrical engineering, and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience with parts or supply chain work, such as drafting, design engineering, field engineering, shop assembly, or handling spare or replacement parts.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• A strong focus on the customer.
• Comfort working to tight deadlines.
• Ability to organize and prioritize your workload.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• You must be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under Hungarian law.
• Good interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• A proactive approach to solving problems.
• An understanding of working in a compliance environment.
• Ability to apply statistical methods to data analysis.
• Ability to understand technical documentation.
• Ability to read drawings and be familiar with BOM structures.
• Strong computer and systems skills, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail.
