Description

The company builds the base layer for visual intelligence: multimodal models trained together on images, video, audio, and action so they can see, generate, and understand the world.

The founding team pioneered latent diffusion and Stable Diffusion. With FLUX, the company is working on generative media at scale, machines that act in the physical world, and computer use.

FLUX models rank at the top of public benchmarks and run in production at some of the largest platforms. The company is a small, quickly growing research lab that competes with much bigger firms. It has labs in Freiburg and San Francisco.

The role: the company wants a Solutions Engineer to help customers adopt its models and to work through hard technical problems with them. The person sits in the go-to-market team, which drives successful deployment of the models, and works with customers from pre-sale through post-implementation to make sure solutions meet expectations.

Day to day, you handle relationships with several stakeholders, including the CEO, sales, research scientists, and engineers. You also act as a key link in bringing research into production.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the sales team on the technical side of deals.
  • Join pre-sales calls to learn about prospects' needs, challenges, and goals, and give technical guidance on the products to them and to other stakeholders.
  • Onboard customers onto the model suite, advising on prompting, evaluation, and finetuning, and on integrating with back-end and front-end systems in production.
  • Guide customers one by one as they deploy models in production where the business impact is significant.
  • Build technical demos that make the product's value clear.
  • Create technical enablement material that makes the sales team more effective and fluent in the technology.
  • Build self-service tools and documentation so customers can implement solutions on their own.
  • Work with the BD team, researchers, and engineers on the most complex customer projects, and contribute to open-source code for inference and finetuning.
  • Feed customer feedback back to applied research to keep improving the products and model capabilities.

Requirements

  • Care about AI, technology, and the BFL models.
  • Like working directly with customers, iterating on solutions, and giving tailored support.
  • Have a strong technical background to help customers design how the company's solutions fit with their existing systems.
  • Have strong Python coding skills, a deep understanding of software development and architecture, and familiarity with common integration patterns.
  • Communicate well, adapting your message to technical and non-technical audiences and explaining complex concepts simply.
  • Ideally, you have contributed to open-source projects, especially around diffusion models.
  • Ideally, you have worked as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager.

Conditions

The team is distributed but has offices that people use. This role is based in San Francisco and requires being in the office at least 2 days a week, or one full week every other week.

The company's work rests on four values: be obsessed with the quality of the science and product; have low ego, letting the best idea win and sharing credit; be bold and ship without waiting for perfect conditions; and be kind, treating people with warmth and empathy.

Base annual salary is US $180,000 - $285,000 USD, plus equity.

Applications may be sorted with AI-assisted tools, but the team makes all hiring decisions.
