Solutions Architect, Networking

Description

The team brings new AI technology to the company's largest customers, and this role is for an experienced networking Solutions Architect who will support accelerated computing networking for AI/ML and HPC on hyperscalers.

You will sit in the Solutions Architecture group and drive end-to-end hardware and software solutions with some of the company's most strategic customers, giving technical guidance to business and engineering teams based on product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build and demonstrate solutions based on the company's software and hardware with tech giants.
• Spend much of your time helping customers debug issues, handle feature requests and run the co-engineering program.
• Work alongside Sales Account Managers and Developer Relations Managers to find and win business for the company's products and solutions.
• Act as the technical go-to for customers designing complex AI infrastructure, and explain the performance they can expect.
• Build proofs of concept with customers for urgent business needs.
• Create and deliver technical material, such as presentations and workshops.
• Investigate customer performance problems in AI workloads and systems, and design fixes.

Requirements

• Hold a BS, MS or PhD in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, physics or another engineering field, or have equivalent experience.
• Have 5+ years of engineering experience in performance, systems or solutions work.
• Know dense datacenter design across networking, compute and storage, and understand cloud and hybrid cloud networks.
• Understand the Ethernet L2-L7 networking protocol stack.
• Solve problems through careful analysis.
• Juggle several tasks in a changing environment and work with teams in different regions.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speech, including with executives and engineers.
• Ways to stand out: deep understanding of, and hands-on experience with, Ethernet switch software and production data center networks.
• Ways to stand out: strong experience with RDMA/RoCE and smart NICs.
• Ways to stand out: hands-on work with GPU and networking systems, including performance testing, tuning and benchmarking.
• Ways to stand out: strong systems engineering, coding and debugging skills in Python, Ansible, Go, C/C++, Bash, Linux and Windows.
• Ways to stand out: experience supporting deep learning, machine learning or HPC networking infrastructure, and related networking technologies.

Conditions

Base pay depends on location, experience and other objective job-related factors.

Expected base salary is 152,000 USD to 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD to 287,500 USD for Level 4.
