Solution Consultant

Description

The role is a pre-sales and solution consulting position. You work with sales and internal teams to win the technical side of target deals.

You go past product demos. You connect platform features, automated data workflows and practical AI tools to results the customer can measure.

You find out the customer's technical needs through consultative questions, then build sample solutions, prototypes and proofs of concept to test those needs and show the business value of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Run the pre-sales process with customers, prospects and partners by phone, web or on site. Lead discovery and find where the company's solutions fit their needs.
• Work with the Client Services team so customers onboard smoothly and keep succeeding over time.
• Build working knowledge of industries, departments and use cases where the platform can make a difference.
• Give general and targeted demos on Financial Reporting (private financials, capital markets transactions, SEC/Advanced and management reporting) and Controls essentials.
• Create new use cases, or adapt existing templates, to show the solution's impact and value.
• Run process assessments with customers, build proofs of concept to validate requirements, and build and present customer-specific business cases.
• You may start coaching, training or mentoring peers across domains.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping and Customer Success to hit team and company goals.
• Help Sales build account plans that support company strategy and objectives.
• Own Opportunity Technical Evaluations from start to finish. Prove technical viability, win over key stakeholders and show the solution clearly beats current processes to reach a verified Tech Win.
• Advise customers on using data connectivity, automated reporting workflows and practical AI to simplify complex reporting, GRC and Sustainability/Carbon processes.
• Run solution discovery and value presentations across the core solutions: Financial Reporting, GRC and Sustainability.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of pre-sales, solution consulting or management consulting experience (for example at a Big 4 firm or equivalent), including solution consulting, technical sales or solution delivery.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Equivalent practical experience is also accepted.
• Preferred: experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives.
• Preferred: strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Preferred: self-motivated, with a drive to act, deliver results and keep improving.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with SaaS, cloud technologies and architectures.
• Preferred: experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics and Reporting solutions.
• Preferred: ability to give value-based, compelling software demos.
• Preferred: working knowledge or practical experience with emerging AI, such as automated data curation, intelligent document processing, predictive insights or AI-assisted reporting.
• Preferred: familiarity with enterprise data structures, API integrations or cross-domain platforms across Finance, GRC or Sustainability/ESG frameworks such as CSRD.
• Up to 30% travel for customer and internal meetings.
• You need reliable internet access to work remotely for any length of time, since the company offers flexible work arrangements.
