The role is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Relocation assistance may be available.

Travel is about 10% of the time.

An active Secret clearance is required before you start.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, document, test and debug applications software and systems that apply logic and mathematics.
  • Carry out multidisciplinary research and work with equipment and hardware engineers on planning, designing, developing and using electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Establish what computer users need, assess system capabilities, and solve problems involving program intent, output needs, input data acquisition, programming methods and controls.
  • Write operating instructions.
  • Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's in science with 2 years of experience, or a master's with 0 years; without a degree, 4 additional years of experience are required instead.
  • You must hold an active U.S. Government Secret clearance when you apply, and it must be current and within scope.
  • You have demonstrated experience developing and optimizing radar signal processing algorithms and pipelines (DSP), using toolsets such as the DSP System Toolbox, Signal Processing Toolbox or Phased Array System toolsets.
  • You have demonstrated experience using GPGPU acceleration, such as CUDA, for performance-critical signal processing or analytics work.
  • You have used AI-enabled engineering tools, such as an AI coding assistant, for code explanation, refactoring and test generation, and you remain accountable for code you review.
  • You have experience with C++, Java, Python and CUDA.
  • You have experience with Linux.
  • You have experience with RF signal processing.
  • You have experience with GPU optimization.
  • You have experience with the NVIDIA MatX library.
  • You have experience with AI tooling.
  • You have experience with high side development and processes.
  • Preferred: radar knowledge, including how to produce a Range Doppler Map from a radar signal, how a sparse array performs beamforming, loss budgets and system tradeoffs, and how calibration applies to a distributed system.
  • Preferred: C++ knowledge covering real-time processing, current C++ standards and modern C++ techniques.
  • Preferred: an understanding of the benefits and limits of running signal processing code on GPGPUs, and familiarity with cuFFT and/or cuSignal. MatX is preferred but not expected.
  • Preferred: functional familiarity with MATLAB and Python.
  • Preferred: a self-starter who can work with minimal direction, learn the system largely on their own, and look for defects and optimizations as they go.
  • Experience only in writing or implementing signal processing algorithms is not enough for this role.
