Responsibilities

  • Build, update and look after automated test scripts and reusable test frameworks.
  • Write and run SQL queries to check application behaviour, business logic and data integrity.
  • Work with software engineers, product owners and fellow QA staff across the development lifecycle.
  • Build automated UI, API and integration tests that run inside CI/CD pipelines.
  • Find defects, record them and follow each one until it is resolved.
  • Read requirements and user stories, then design thorough test coverage.
  • Take part in code reviews and help shape quality engineering practices.
  • Track test results, regression coverage and quality measures to drive ongoing improvement.
  • Help move the team toward automation-first testing and newer AI-assisted testing tools.
  • Confirm business requirements are met and that PHI is handled in line with compliance rules.
  • Help make sure customers get a smooth experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering.
  • A degree or equivalent experience, usually 4+ years of software testing or QA work.
  • Strong SQL skills, including queries for testing and data validation.
  • Experience building or maintaining automated test frameworks and suites.
  • Hands-on use of automation tools such as Tosca, Selenium or similar.
  • Experience testing APIs, integrations and end-to-end workflows.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control tools and Agile teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and fix defects.
  • Preferred: experience designing and building scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Preferred: experience with C, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or similar languages.
  • Preferred: experience testing cloud applications, including Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Preferred: experience with API testing tools such as SoapUI or Postman.
  • Preferred: experience with Jira, qTest or similar Agile testing tools.
  • Preferred: experience with behaviour-driven development tools such as Cucumber or JUnit.
  • Preferred: exposure to AI-enabled testing tools and automation practices.
