Software Integration & Test Engineer - ELINT Systems

Description

The company builds ELINT ground processing systems that turn raw IQ data into ELINT geolocations for defense, intelligence and national security customers.

This is a dual-track role: you start in software test and integration, and can grow into a technical position that combines testing with ELINT domain knowledge.

You will work alongside software engineers and ELINT analytics staff to keep the processing systems reliable.

The team is looking for someone with solid testing and CI/CD experience who wants to learn ELINT signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Support CI/CD pipelines for the ELINT ground processing systems.
• Wire automated test suites into CI/CD workflows using tools such as Airflow, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar.
• Coordinate integration work so data moves smoothly through the processing pipelines.
• Run system integration tests on the ELINT processing software components.
• Watch build and deployment runs, and find and fix integration problems.
• Maintain and improve test infrastructure: test environments, data repositories and validation frameworks.
• Run release validation steps and record the test results.
• Check ELINT geolocation datasets by comparing them before and after a change.
• Isolate and reproduce software defects in a methodical way to support troubleshooting.
• Build your understanding of ELINT signal characteristics, emitter parameters and geolocation principles.
• Turn operational requirements from ELINT analysts into testable acceptance criteria.
• Work with software engineering, ELINT analysts and system operations teams.
• Share knowledge and agree testing strategies with other test engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in software testing, integration and quality assurance.
• Strong background in regression testing and assessing the impact of changes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages for test automation, such as Python or Bash.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with the initiative to work independently.
• Willingness to learn ELINT domain knowledge and build technical depth in signals intelligence.
• Ability to perform well in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
• Optional: a master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related technical field.
• Optional: exposure to ELINT, SIGINT or RF signal processing concepts.
• Optional: background in signal processing, RF systems or defense and intelligence applications.

Conditions

Compensation is a competitive base salary plus an annual performance bonus, benefits and equity.

Salary depends on factors such as your work experience, education, training, skills, the market and business considerations.

The company may consider candidates whose experience or qualifications sit at a different level than the posting, which can change the compensation offered.

Base salary range: $110,000 - $145,000 USD.
