Software Engineering Manager, Platform

Description

The company builds search, security and observability solutions on a cloud platform, and more than 50% of the Fortune 500 use it.

This role leads the identity and access management (IAM) team inside the company Cloud control plane platform group.

The team is modernizing the company's IAM systems, and it works across distributed locations on an ambitious roadmap that shapes how user identities and access are managed.

Responsibilities

• Build a collaborative, inventive team culture, and coach people to grow their technical skills.
• Set clear performance expectations, watch team dynamics, and hold regular meetings to agree on goals and share updates.
• Run performance reviews for each team member, give constructive feedback, and recognize strong work.
• Create project plans and timelines for IAM initiatives, assign resources, track progress, and adjust when needed.
• Report status to stakeholders, and manage risks and issues as they come up.
• Assess new technologies that could improve IAM capabilities, and tie technical direction to business goals.
• Lead technical discussions and decisions within the team.
• Gather requirements and feedback from key stakeholders, and build working relationships with internal teams so IAM solutions integrate smoothly.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in identity and access management.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and architectures.
• Experience with IAM solutions and frameworks.
• Proficiency in software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.

Conditions

This is a base-salary role with no variable compensation.

The typical starting salary range is €87.300 - €138.100 EUR. The final offer within that range depends on relevant experience, skills and expertise, fit with the role requirements, and the scope and complexity of the position.
