Software Engineer [level 2 or 3] Secret Clearance

Description

The company is modernising GCCS-J, the DoD's Joint Command and Control system of record, which delivers a fused, real-time operational picture to commanders and warfighters.

The work supports JADC2-aligned mission goals and centres on cloud-native engineering, microservices, data ingestion and synchronisation, revised data models and a better user experience.

The team is hiring Software Engineers at level 2 or level 3 for the GCCS-J program.

Responsibilities

• Develop software features and build data workflows for the GCCS-J modernisation.
• Contribute to architecture design.
• Deliver high-quality software that fits the mission across several product areas.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience for level 2, or with 5 years of experience for level 3.
• Have at least 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Have experience with Java, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Be familiar with REST services and messaging platforms.
• Have experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, JavaScript frameworks, and Agile or Scrum.
• Hold an active Secret clearance.
• Optional: experience with Spring Boot, Node.js and NPM.
• Optional: experience with automated testing tools.
• Optional: familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Optional: experience with DoD systems or C2 environments.

Conditions

Level is decided by your overall experience, education, years of experience, fit for the role, and interview results.

Base salary range for the primary level is $83,400.00 to $126,200.00. The final offer depends on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Travel is required for 10% of the time.

A Secret clearance is required to start.

No relocation assistance is available.
